[2024] Thorpe Park: Hyperia - Mack Hypercoaster

Looks like vegans can't ride Hyperia today anyway as she's thrown a strop again... Been testing but still not open. Gah.

I had a fly hit me the eye on the Stealth launch - no joke, that was painful! Unfortunately for vegans, if they do swallow a fly they'll be unable to fix it by then swallowing a spider, bird, cat, dog, etc...... 😉 These are the problems vegans face everyday...
Pales into insignificance compared to the struggle to find vegan cake at towers...

For those amongst us that thought Hyperia had too little theming...fear not.

The multi billion pound global bemouth that is Merlin Entertainments have sprung into action.

They've popped to the local garden centre and purchased one lowly metal flamingo(?) and plonked it in the ride area.

Problem solved folks.

Surely that’s not supposed to be there right?

Hyperia having another day off today then. It says "closed" on the app rather than "delayed opening", so maybe they're waiting on a part, or for Mack to come and investigate?

It keeps getting stuck at the base of the lift hill. Hopefully not another major issue 🤞

Lots of issues with the lift so far this year it seems. Do feel sorry for them as it’s continuing to be a nightmare for them to operate.

Swarm in comparison has probably had a handful of closed days since it opened over 10 years ago, pretty sure it didn’t have a single day closed in its first couple seasons.

I find it unusual how unreliable the ride has been given that Mack aren’t typically known for building unreliable rides.

Hyperia is brilliant, but in hindsight, maybe the B&M might have been a better bet from a reliability standpoint…
