[2025] Toxicator: New Forbidden Valley Suspended Top Spin

9 years is a lot of new guests true but I was still getting asked about Ripsaw in 2023 and having to explain that yes, it's gone, no they haven't replaced it.

I think probably the more pertinent question is how would it have been received if they’d done what they should have done over the last 9 years and actually invested in flat rides generally?

I suspect most people would be totally onboard with an old favourite in Ripsaw getting an upgrade, not everything has to necessarily be new. The issue is it’s the only flat ride they’ve installed in about 20 years.

As expected, the theming pieces are indeed acid tanks. It’s hard to tell whether this is being achieved using screens or actual liquid, but the effect appears to be switched on on the left side and not on the right, for now.

The yellow is tied in with the hazard stripes for the underpass, but the green is also prominent

5 flips in a row.... Talocan sequence confirmed? 😱

Are we totally sure the builders didn't turn up and started to unload their vans on the wrong side of the park, and Towers just went with it? The addition of those chevrons make it scream X-Sector even more.

Hmm, seen worse theming from Towers over the years and this seems OK IMO, don't know what many were expecting.

At the very least they have something there rather than nowt and hopefully won't need to remove said theming unlike what happened with Ripsaw.

I think it looks quite cool! Certainly, it looks pretty impressively themed by flat ride standards; yes, things like Talocan exist, but most theme park flats are not nearly that well themed.

I’m not sure on the underpass, and I do think it might have looked better had it just stuck to the previous orientation of Ripsaw, but it might be one of those things that looks better at ground level.

Crucially, with at least 6 weeks until season open, I don't expect that they're quite finished with the final touches yet.

Mostly I like it, but unlike other FV changes others think hark too much to x-sector I do think the chevrons are a mistake as that’s very much an x-sector motif.
I’m praying there’s some kind of vision to retheme X Sector alongside fixing Oblivion’s station and tidying up Smiler.

The park are loving nostalgia recently so it would be incredible to see them finally take on the Port Discovery concept and make it more mad science / Jules Verne / Steampunk

Yeh I think that’s the lift. Looking back at the plans there is a door into one of the theming pieces (the left one as viewed on the image above) so my guess is it’s in that?

Edit: perhaps a bit clearer in this screenshot:
