[2026] CBeebies Land Junior Coaster

In terms of reliability, ITNG is basically just two motors - one for the station conveyor and one for the paddle wheel which circulates the water. It's one of the most simple rides in the park and has very little in the way of a control system. There is very little that can go wrong with it at a ride hardware level, though the same cannot be said for some of the theming.

Postman Pat isn't particularly complex either but will require a greater range of spare parts to keep the vehicles operational - each will have a basic on-board control system to check for a stopped car ahead.

I think you’ve got a different impression to what I was thinking about. I was thinking of a ride model similar to below. Whilst a step-up from Octonauts currently, it bridges the gap between Octo and RMT, and would have a 0.9m height restriction similar to everything else in the area currently. It would be interesting if someone could actually map that layout onto the Postman Pat plot.

Great little coaster this, a few clones are popping up at former Cedar Fair parks as well with one at Canadas Wonderland and another planned for 2025.

I wonder if the Postman Pat ride system can be relocated elsewhere in the park or at another Merlin attraction?

It’s relatively new and would seem a waste to scrap it?

Agreed seems criminal given recent capacity cuts.

Few possible locations.

Staff car park behind mutiny bay arcade?
Coach park behind KC?
Car park behind guest services?
MMM building area in TWODW?
The corner of CBeebies next to dinosaur dig?
Inside the old Peugeot garage building?

Excuse me if I am wrong, but the Postman Pat ride system, excluding the cars (the shells at least). Is the same ride system that was there before and has been for decades when it was the tracktor ride?

In many ways how Disney parks has many a small dark ride in the Fantasyland area, then it is possible that a relocated Postman Pat ride could fit into one of the buildings in TWODW alongside GG including a reopened ride in the Dungeons building in which that area could become the park's own Fantasyland area in terms of being nicknamed Dark Ride corner instead of say Coaster Corner from years ago and that's not including Project Horizon in that list too.

I wonder whether the ride system could be relocated, along with the Chessington rides going into ‘storage’ to Walliams World as a part of a re-theme alongside Project Horizon. A good way to create a new area on the cheap.
Sorry for the off-topic diversion, what's this about Chessington rides moving to Walliams World?

The reason they stopped making the night garden was it was costing the BBC roughly around £150000 per episode.
Anyway back on topic could the park be thinking of adding a Junior Boomerang coaster like they have in legoland

Nothing at all. I was hypothesising whether the planned storage of the Chessington flats could be relocated to Towers. Just a random thought/idea. :)

I’d have thought that the reason they stopped making In The Night Garden was that they made enough episodes (100 of them in the space of two years) that meant they had plenty that they could show over and over again.

Some children’s programs often don’t actually have that many episodes but are continuously shown over and over again so that you think there are more than there really are. But two seasons, which In The Night Garden had, isn’t necessarily uncommon for a CBeebies show like that. It’s not as if the intended audience of toddlers is particularly demanding is it, they’ll happily watch the same episodes over and over until they grow out of it within a couple of years.
