[2026] CBeebies Land Junior Coaster

I honestly didn’t think we could see something less thrilling then Octo but this might be it.
I'm thinking for the audience, it wasn't going to be much more thrilling than Octonauts.

I do find it odd why they'd need a maintenance shed for a Dino Chase or Duplo Dino Coaster clone.

Also, Get Set Go is not shown on any of the planning documents... Could that be going as well?
Nothing seems to be said about Get Set Go.

Probably some weird attempt to improve throughput by having a second train either on the track on readily available.

It'll need the queuelines if it is Bluey themed.

I'll miss Postman Pat. Not entirely sure why CBeebies even needs 2 coasters in the area quite honestly.

Part of me thinks it might not be Bluey themed but something else.

I'm thinking it might've been slightly more thrilling i.e. like the Daddy Pig Coaster, if it was Bluey in my personal opinion.

I also kinda think Bluey would be done justice it's own themed area and believe it might very well be Project Play at Chessington.

Found a key for the queue lines;

RAP, Accessible exit and main queue. Interesting how it states predicted max queue lenths (I assume that's what they are) next to them.

I think people are setting themselves up for disappointment if they’re expecting anything that appeals beyond children under 6 and their accompanying adults.

Vindicated! :D

Obviously the talk in here of a Vekoma SLC or an Intamin spike and launch was a bit optimistic to say the least but this looks particularly dull... Even the Chessington one looks more exciting. I suppose it'll be all about the IP.

Do towers have to show the layout of the the ride? Could that just be something on and paper and the end result different?
I’d assume that the layout shown is what we are getting. That’s certainly been the case with past coasters, anyhow.

I am surprised we’re getting something this small, I’ll admit. I’d have thought that something slightly bigger than Octonauts would fill more of a gap within the area’s lineup.

The Smiler is the only coaster (I can think of) with a different layout on the application compared to the real thing, which was intended to hide the whole 14-loop world record.

I would be very surprised if that were the case with this. It's a kids' coaster, so the proposed layout is likely what we will see.

It looks a tad disappointing, but I'm not in the target market so it may be perfect for the kids! There is a lot of emphasis on theming, which isn't a bad thing.

No one was asking for something super intense but .. my girl grew outta Octonaughts before even riding it thanks to the kid offering at Drayton (and this was pre goldrush)

Merlin have yet again made the mistake of thinking that small kids and their parents enjoy boring rides. Either that or the budget they're working with is so small that this is just the best they could come up with.

I'm surprised Postman Pat has been selected for the chop as well, it seems like a decent track ride with nice theming and a still popular IP (as far as I'm aware). I don't really see the point in replacing it with... whatever this is.

Another own goal.

I was hoping it might be more along the lines of a vekoma family boomerang.

Might as well just keep postman pat if this is all they can come up with.
A family boomerang would arguably have been a bit too thrilling for the area, I was expecting something similar to Troublesome Trucks at Drayton.

If it is indeed Bluey-themed, why not just save the money and just retheme Octonauts? With the removal of Postman Pat, this leaves a bit of a gap within the lineup.

Hopefully this’ll potentially make it up a bit with theming for such a short layout. I still think CBeebies Land would be better placed for a dark ride, although with Postman Pat removed, I think a similar ride with dark ride sections like Yoshi’s Adventure in Super Nintendo World (albeit on a smaller budget) would serve as a really clever addition to the area.

I'm getting fed up of parks thinking that kids want boring and short rides like this. Kids and children want to be challenged. Look at Paultons Park (aimed at a younger generation to be begin with). They have Dino Chase, but look at the next step up, a full large Tivoli layout coaster. Then up from there we have two Vekoma coasters, Farmyard Flyer, then Storm Chaser and Cobra. You see younger kids all day there challenging themselves to ride the bigger rides and most are made up when they achieve it.

So frustrating. It needed to be a step inbetween Octonauts and RMt, not lesser than Octonauts.

Major own goal. Ripping out a fairly new attraction that whilst no longer on our screens always has a decent queue and is widely liked by most of the target ages, whilst leaving Justin’s House standing - a barn with an air compressor, zero queue even on busy days and surely an H&S nightmare. Just makes no sense.

We may very well still get that - Project Horizon could be a 1m rollercoaster and be a step up from Octonauts? 🤔

I hope the theming will redeem the rollercoaster, since the ride looks very basic, even for its target audience.

Well….
Positives - higher maintenance shed - can’t be maintenance surely ???
And a lot of theming - maybe this is more about interaction?

You do question though - why?

Trying to be positive given the rise time appears to be 15 seconds from start to finish.

Must be more to this than just that small layout.

Weirdly large station and maintenance bay for such a small coaster.

Seems a bit odd.

It does. No coaster of that proposed size has or would need a maintence shed like that. With that layout it can’t be a second train either. My only thought is that it needs to have maintence due to something to do with the ride vehicles.

With the amount of themeing structures (one of which appears to be a screen on a pedestal) could we be seeing something akin to Arthur at Europa in terms of ride system? Powered track with seats that rotate to view the different scenes?

It just makes zero sense for this to go up a lift hill and meander in a circle back to the station with that many themeing elements. It’s lesser than octo.
