Was it a press night last night then?I have seen a few photos/videos of the event this evening.
It looks like someone has put thought and effort in. It also looks *way* better than the event at Thorpe Park!

And what about the drink offerings? I've seen the steins which are designed well (though they only appear to be pint sized rather than the traditional two-pinter?). Hoping there's some good German beer on offer rather than the usual Carling/Stella offerings...
Its Spaten at £5.50 a pint and Becks Vier at £4.60

I think I remember seeing somewhere that Erdinger may be on offer for Oktoberfest at Towers, but I'm not 100% sure on that.
Erdinger is definitely listed on the Towers website as being available.

It was a staff preview night I believe.

I don't think you can get it on draught in the UK. It is sold in bottles here though.

Oh don't worry, you can get it on draught in the UK! Spoons used to do it in some of their pubs, but then got rid of it because it is brewed in that evil place known as the EU. I've had it on draught at Winter Wonderland, but know other pubs do also have it.

Off-topic, but you definitely can get it on tap in certain places. Stein's Berlin in Kensington being one that I visited relatively recently.

It's definitely available on tap from The Bier Keller in Bracknell (part of the Coppid Beech Hotel):

Stayed here a few times for work purposes and was genuinely amazed to see it on draught!
Pleased that it's available at Towers too - it's iconic and would have been silly not to have it.

Saw a picture of the loaded fries and they don’t look great to be honest, seem very pricey as well at £8.

The event looks great. Hope it does well enough to return next year.
Unfortunately I won’t be attending due to the pandemic but would love to have the opportunity to visit in the years to come. Think they’re really onto something here.

Went today and there was an excellent atmosphere on park. Really fun entertainment running all day, actors walking round and it's lovely overlooking the Towers with a beer. It was pricey especially the German sausages where it was £9 for a glorified hot dog. Had the hog roast though and it was delicious. The event created a great buzz and definitely worth a visit imo.
