Cracking find that,Previously unseen Britannia Park views hidden away in this listing:
Britannia Park Pre American Adventure Theme Park Very Rare Pictures Bag Badge | eBay
Some of the shots have snow which means they were probably taken after the park had closed, probably winter 85/86.
One of the shots shows an embankment for fishermen which I have no memory of so much have been re-landscaped early on in Park Hall's ownership.
I have fond memories of the playground ('Fort Junior' according to the 1987 map) but I had no idea it was installed for Britannia Park.
I hope a generous soul with a nice scanner gets it.
Yeah, I recall one entrance to it being at the back of the farm, where it joined on the back of that awful 'mall'. Same spot that later had the Helter Skelter and the Rockin' Tug for the last couple of seasons.Cracking find that,
I remember the remnants of the kids assault course stayed on park for a few seasons, it ran left to right and over the top of the new entrance tp finish near the twin looper

I think the area itself later became the theming graveyard. I wonder if subsidence hastened its demise, a similar (but much smaller) playground went up around the former railway station beside Fort St Laurence not long after it went so I doubt it was an insurance issue.
No... but I'm sure it ended up in safe handsDid you win the auction Will?
It's on the site where the park used to be.I cant workout were this Harron development is
