I have a mate who worked for Meridian TV in the late 90s early 00s.
His big job new years eve 1999 was to sit at a desk at wait for midnight. IF the millennium bug did take hold, was to flick a switch and turn on the emergency broadcast. £3500 he got for that night.
Anyway, he claims he found the tapes made by the Queen and his Tonyness the Blair incase the balloon went up and Russia decided to nuke.
