Suppose the problem with Valhalla is its indoors so we've no idea what state it's been in at which point. Though it's also seems like it's became out of site out of mind for the park compared to parks that had completely finished rides and areas sitting dormant when re-opening in summer 2020 and just chose not to open them.

What am I missing here ? Inexplicable spelling aside ...

Perhaps they have messed up with the exchange rate and it should have been 70 euros ( still a rip off though )

I may be being pedantic here but wouldn't a price displayed in pounds be better ( you know, the currency of the UK ! ) - It is utterly baffling what PB do at times. They may as well put the price in Japanese Yen !!

So with 3 weekends to go which day do you think Valhalla will open ? - Still says opening in 2022 on the Valhalla page of the website.

With only three weekends left to the season, do we think Mandy's determination to get the mighty Valhalla open this season will become reality.
Possibly not.

Valhalla will open for approximately 2 seconds at the very end of the final day of the season. Unfortunately, this will not be enough time for anyone to enter the queue and get on the ride.

The pleasure beach must be aware that it still says Valhalla is opening in 2022 on their website. I am sure that plenty of people will have pointed it out to them by now.

So why leave it on there ?

I am still hoping for it opening this weekend, just so @rob666 can ride it in shorts and a T-Shirt :)

Unfortunately, you would have to wait if it happened shakey, still not allowed to get my foot wet.
Wellies !

EDIT: I am sure that they will have totally fixed the issue with water tipping into the boats on the turns and the boats flooding with several inches of water.....

Possibly !!

Why is it that the boats on Valhalla flood so badly? Is it just sheer volume of water generated from the splashes and water features, or are there actual leaks in the boats? I’ve been on Intamin water rides in various other parks all over the world and never seen anything like Valhalla’s issues.

I believe that this type of Intamin water ride shouldn’t have that type of boat. Can anyone confirm? The way they ‘take’ those turns at the top of each lift hill is ridiculous, whilst I expect to get wet on a water ride, that’s at the bottom of a drop, not a whole bucket of water tipped on my feet just for turning a flat corner

Yep, I think there are 2 right hand turns where water just tips over the front left of the boat.

Then there is the water vortex which also tips vast amounts of water into the boats.

I am hoping they will have fixed the water vortex , or removed it. Not sure if they will have done anything about those corners though.

Apparently Intamin were adamant it wouldn't work but WGT kept giving them more money until they built it anyway.

The boats should drain on the two lifts (in theory). It's possible that the drain valves don't work properly but it's also that, due to the issues described above, far more water enters the boat than was intended. That then makes the problem worse as the boats are heavier, slow down less on the run-offs & sit lower in the trough so take on even MORE water.
