I don't want to miss quote anyone so just to clarify that the review stated that it felt and looked like a tribute to the hot ice show, and not that there were any direct references to hot ice.

There are plenty of people with an axe to grind against the park. Also seen a few more positive comments today, with some saying it is a lot better already. Pinch of salt and all that.
 
Does anyone else think elton musk and Amanda would make a good online couple….. both blow hot air…. Not ice ……. Or even anything helpful
 
The first part of my comment related to those guys, among others - but that's just how it comes across to me post re-brand. Or maybe, at the least and being fairer with the benefit of the doubt - they feel more liberated to criticise.
 
They could easily say like if the fire effects ain’t working/switched on as it’s in Technical Rehearsal.
Like the park open to Sunday and then closed to Wednesday so they gonna work flat out on Monday and Tuesday so more effects will be working on Wednesday or they only gonna open it on weekends to the next bank holiday.
 
In some ways I think the elongated timeline has hindered them. I know people have come in and out of the project as it has rattled on for so long, so there hasn't been as much consistency as you would perhaps want.

Also, getting some of the technology to play ball when it's been sat idle over the winter for three months can be a challenge, sat idle for three and a half years is quite something else ...
 
Europa came out and said that with supply chain issues, parts had been delayed so the opening of Voltron is delayed. Why Blackpool didn't do the same with Valhalla at least once baffles me

I must admit that I am quite shocked that they've changed the soundtrack completely. Fair enough if you want an updated one, but surely you retain some of that iconic tune? Having that blasting out as water is flying everywhere and fire is going off is what made Valhalla an epic experience.
