How do Blackpool get away with charging the same amount as Towers and Thorpe
That £39 is a next day ticket for a 10pm close. Whilst Alton Towers aren't charging more for next day tickets currently (I'm surprised), they are closing at 6pm.
Through the summer holidays, Blackpool are charging £31-35 for 7pm closes while Alton Towers are charging £39 for 6pm closes.

But why is it funny then , please tell

Because we're comparing a park with coasters older than my grandparents to parks with relatively new and modern coasters. Whilst a lot of people love the classics at Blackpool, it's hard to compare them to modern day rides they just dont compare. Granted Icon and Big one are exceptions and both fairly modern rides (if we're comparing them to other rides in the park anyway). Not including Infusion as that rides like it's 50 years old so the actual age of the ride is irrelevant. Anyway if you enjoy the classic woodies then fair enough but I don't personally want to come off a ride with damaged organs.

Ah, so you did think my answer was wrong then

It's all about opinions so there is no right or wrong answer.

Personally I think Blackpool offers a better overall experience. Coaster wise i don't think there is much between them, but for me Blackpool offers much more apart from the coasters. And usually queue times are less which lets you get on more rides for your money .

So because a park has older / rougher rides it should charge less? 🤨

Are there any rumours for any new rides for next year and beyond? Even a new flat would be welcomed, the gap between new thrill rides is insane for this park, the main reason my trips there have become less frequent in recent years. And I only live 45 mins away, there's little appeal to go back having ridden all the current rides many times.

In my opinion the cost of getting in should reflect the value of the rides and attractions you can experience. The only coaster I enjoy at Blackpool is Icon, which is an elite ride have to admit. The rest just aren't for me so I wouldn't be too happy paying £35 entry. Thorpe have 5 solid coasters and a good range of flats too. Likewise towers have some great coasters but also good dark rides. I'm a coaster person and to say 2 of the best rides at Blackpool, valhalla and wallace and gromit, aren't even coasters says a lot about the coasters they do have. Maybe Icon being so smooth just makes everything else look like trash I'm not sure

Come on then Ethan...let's see you arrange a good, friendly, pub crawl around the Towers, that also has a considerable number of flats and dark rides that provide welcome shelter from the rain.
Easy to do at the Beach, and if you are lucky, the fantastic, gorgeous bar staff will have already started pulling your pint for you because they have spotted you from fifty metres away.
And after the Beach, you have a whole seaside town full of fun different attractions to play with.

Never been in the tavern at towers in my life. I go for the rides not to have some pints. If I wanted to chill and just have some drinks why would I travel to a theme park

For something to do between the beers, and to meet like minded mates.
There is an awful lot more to Blackpool than the Beach.
Towers is massively lacking in alternatives to the park, when it considers itself a resort.

I didn’t want to get involved in this Towers vs Blackpool discussion because it’s all subjective, but I’m sorry, I can’t let this slide.

Alton Towers has a waterpark, a spa, a mini golf course and multiple hotels. That’s what makes it a resort and they are right to brand themselves as that. There’s lots of things to do in Blackpool itself besides BPB but these things are nothing to do with the park. Alton Towers has plenty of non theme park options and to suggest that BPB has more is just laughable.
