I was there yesterday too I did book my free ticket for hot ice but only watched from the last 15 minutes because the rain was pretty clear around 2:30pm when the show started.Visited yesterday on which must have been one of the wettest times I’ve ever visited the Pleasure Beach. Pretty much torrential rain all day until 4ish. Still quite a few people on park, but no fun riding anything in the rain.
Decided to take shelter in Hot Ice and was surprised to see only about 30 other people had also taken up the free matinee ticket offer. Apart from a group of 50 pensioners opposite who didn’t look like they’d not spent the day riding coasters.
I think it’s just the case that no-one knows about it. It really does need the entrance staff to make people aware when they arrive and more than just a little note on the sign outside the arena entrance.
Guys does anyone know if Speedy Pass is mobile only now or do they still issue a handheld device?
What about valhalla, a paper ticket so phones don't get wet?
Or you forget it before joining a queue. That happened to someone on Revolution, they had to go back down the steps to get it. Advantage of the mobile tickets if you're in a group is another member can scan your ticket on their phone. Happened to me on Dipper after I left my phone in my rucksack with non-riding members.( assuming it doesn't disintegrate on Valhalla !! )
They do issue a handheld device if you don't have a phone for speedypass...you get a phone rental with a £50 deposit!Guys does anyone know if Speedy Pass is mobile only now or do they still issue a handheld device?
