It'll be the total cost of the project, some of which will be for the ride. Legal fees, installation fees, marketing fees, design fees, any ground / preparation / construction costs, theming, etc, will all play a part too.Fantastic news. Love the graphic. Nearly £9m though?! Is that the going rate for flats these days? I hope it’s good value for money![]()

There’s speculation that this is themed to the snake from the Icon ‘story’, which apparently had something to do with the dagger. Apparently the Icon trains are meant to be snakeskin.
If this continues the Icon mythos, I wonder if it’s going to be based around the Ouroboros, with that also potentially being the name too!

I had to google Ouroborus ! (Sometimes spelt Uroboros)
Looking at an image of it , I can see how it would tie in with how the ride gondola looks, but i hope they don't call it that, But if they do I think Uroboros is better.

They’ve put up a nice video with all the investment announcements:

Will be interesting to see how many vloggers attend that event, given it's the same day as the Super Fans event and Ghostly Manor opening at Paulton's.Received this afternoon on email:-

Perhaps to demonstrate that they actually are investing, and not going the way of Oakwood, especially after they've announced that some attractions aren't opening at all this season. Announcing both together would have meant that the focus would have been on the closures, not what was coming. This announcement buries that bad news.Delighted that it's actually happening, but I do question the timing. Why are they announcing their first proper brand new ride in a while ahich debuts next year now and not later in the season? That's a solid 11 to 14 months to wait.

The park has come under a lot of criticism recently with closed rides and other cost cutting exercises.
They needed some positivity and I think it was the right time to announce something , given the situation.
Hopefully it is the start of an upturn for the park.
EDIT : Basically the same thing as that loose goose said.
