Nash and Valhalla are open, even though staff just told me they are “Closed all day”
The thing is, by having such high PPR prices BPB are clearly encouraging advance online bookings for wristbands, which allows them to pre-allocate staffing (thus giving them greater cost control) and gives them a guaranteed source of revenue regardless of weather. Things like this are very hard to place a value on unless you have insider information and statistics, which is presumably why BPB feel like their current strategy is the best one.

The admissions staff rely on a list of rides highlighted in red and green on their tills with the occasional comment added. Thing is, nobody from the operations/rides departments update this list; the admissions department management update it according to what they hear/find out.
Footpath open, road shut, you can walk through.
Rehearsals for hot ice means no public skating, so east gate shut, as season pass holders don't count.
Surely communication between two important departments of a business should be key. How hard is it for Valhalla and Nash staff to contact the main desk and tell them that said rides are now open?
East Gate was open Sunday morning, then closed (alongside the arena) at the end of the day meaning we had to walk all the way round outside to get back to our car (in east car park)!
Terrible customer service, clearly trying to upsell the "premium" (£15) parking by forcing you to walk round if you pay £10.
This may change once the new hotel and bar on Ocean Boulevard opens next year.I'm not sure that really is the reason, perhaps @rob666 is right (it wouldn't be the first time!) and it IS Ice Arena related, the East entrance being shut. Spare a thought for me, parking beyond Big Blue heading away from the park and then having to walk ALL THE WAY to North entrance. A terrible state of affairs, having to walk for a few minutes on a nice day! Still at least I didn't still pay a tenner to park. I parked for free !

It is when you leave the park at 7pm, have a 5 hour drive home and expect to be able to jump in the car and go rather than leaving another 20 minutes later!I'm not sure that really is the reason, perhaps @rob666 is right (it wouldn't be the first time!) and it IS Ice Arena related, the East entrance being shut. I imagine that the road is closed for security reasons, if I did a risk assessment I wouldn't want cars down there.
Big bomb in the back of a transit would take out half the park. Why not ?
