Blackpool Pleasure Beach: General Discussion

Could I be the first desperate closed season saddo to point out that we can collect our season passes next month.
I feel so much better knowing that the light at the end of the tunnel shines that little bit brighter.

This is utterly apalling business practice when they advertised and ran a renewal offer throughout October for £90, and guaranteed that it would be their lowest price.

Yet again they're giving their most loyal customers another kick in the teeth, by taking the bulk of renewal sales at a higher price and then sneakily running a lower priced offer to new passholders to make a quick sale.

Interestingly they're responding to all the positive posts on social media but ignoring all the loyal long-standing passholders whom they've upset.

Here is the reply I received. So basically sod off, we will do what we want. (Which of course they can do). But doesnt make me feel like a valued customer :)

lol

We'd like to sincerely apologise for any disappointment that you experienced when purchasing the Platinum Passes for 2019 - as our guests who choose to visit us on a number of occasions throughout the year; we aim to ensure you have the best possible experience with each transaction and visit to Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

At the time of purchasing your Platinum Passes, we can confirm that currently was the best possible price and our Sales Advisors were informing you correctly of the current rate. However, in lieu of "Black Friday" offers this year, "12 Christmas Crackers" were introduced, as promotional offers that provided a variety of discounts on a number of products across the Park - such as 241 on Hot Ice seats, offers on merchandise, and in this instance, Platinum Club Passes for £80 for a 24 hour period only.

We value all of our guests that visit Blackpool Pleasure Beach, and any of our renewal offers for existing Season Pass holders are in place for an extended period of time and allow those guests the sufficient time to make their purchase. At the Pleasure Beach we can run and withdraw offers at any time and this is the same process and policy for most organisations, when they run promotional offers, such as their own "Black Friday", "Cyber Monday" or any Christmas offers. These offers and discounts cannot be retrospectively applied to previous purchases. Please be assured all guest comments form a part of our feedback process and we appreciate you taking the time to provide these so that we can continue to make improvements in the future for all guests.

Sadly, as per usual, it’s a case of they can do what they like. Did they actually say back at the £90 renewals that it was guaranteed to be their lowest price? If so then that is rather poor

I got the exact same email back from them.

They "care about their customers" so much that they're using a copy-and-paste response...

Not even worth complaining to them. Whilst I agree it’s poor for them to say ‘we guarantee this will be the lowest renewal price’ then change their minds a month later, they will always do as they please and will always issue a copied & pasted response to people asking the same question. Next year, don’t bother renewing at first opportunity. Play the game and wait. Simples!

It's always a gamble though, getting the cheapest price.
Always has been.
Are you still getting good value for your money...that is the real question.
Just bring me news of a nice shiny new coaster under a roof at Blackpool Central on friday please!

The problem is that, looking at previous years, renewal offer was usually the lowest price throughout, was it not? Also got done for £20 on two passes...

Bought flights to Orlando in the Virgin Atlantic sale one year. Just over a month later I would have got the same flights for £250 less per person. That's just the way it goes.
Hardly the same, we're talking about charging more for a renewal (customers who have been season pass holders for years) vs a cheaper quick sale to new customers.

I don't accept that it's a "gamble", if you advertise that a price will be the lowest possible price then it should be!
