This really is excellent from BPB, fair play to them.

Suddenly the value for money vs a MAP has arguably swung in their favour.

OH! This might mean that we get free entry to BPB with an EP Pass!!!!!

It would be wonderful if this was the case! Hopefully we might hear something one way or the other before the start of the season.

But realistically how many people are going to visit these parks ?

They aren't exactly easy or cheap to get to.

Shame they couldn't have done a deal with other independent parks in the UK.

Yeah in fairness it's more a selling point for enthusiasts than the general public. But it's really not difficult to get cheap flights to all of those parks spread across the year if planned correctly.

I won't be purchasing either, as I've got other plans for the year - but I'd much prefer this than multiple visits to the poorly run Merlin parks.

April - Cologne, Phantasialand: £25 return
July - Baden Baden, Europa Park: £24 return
September - Gothenburg, Liseberg - £21 return
November - Amsterdam, Efteling - £30 return

Obviously that doesn't include travel and accomodation, but it costs me more than that in petrol to visit Towers/BPB.

It's fantastic to see them including so many European parks, only trouble is I'm visiting Efteling before PB this year so not sure if i'll be able to use the perk!

Easy is of course relative, but Phantasialand, Liseberg and Efteling are all extremely accessible by public transport (some moreso than others, I mean the bus from Gothenburg airport stops right outside Liseberg!)...

Not sure what the take up might be on this though...

There will be extra on top, plus getting to airport and from airport in both directions and probably 2 nights accomodation. The costs will mount up very quickly.

Its nice they have put them on but in reality they are just pointless perks for 95% of pass holders which is probably why they are on their.

Free parking in the main car park would have been a better perk to offer !!

Do the Pleasure Beach have a postal option for the pass? You could get it sent to you.

It is a bit amazing that they went to the effort to arrange these perks, but (unless I'm wrong) never actually advertised them when the passes were on sale?

I’ve got a Europa-Park and Liseberg trip booked this year so will have to weigh up my options on what tickets are best. I wasn’t planning a trip to BPB this year, but may keep an eye out if there’s a last minute sale.

I’d imagine lots of enthusiasts would be very interested in this (unless they’re the type of enthusiasts who’d rather continually re-visit UK parks than try anything new).

For many people, as has already been said, the cost of getting to some of the parks on that list is actually cheaper than travelling up to Blackpool (or down to Thorpe park depending on where you live).

This year, I’ve done trips involving one night stays in Cologne and Seville in order to visit the likes of Phantasialand and Isla Magica, both of which have worked out really cheap and easy. And that’s not even mentioning European parks which aren’t included on this pass.

It really baffles me when people say that parks in Europe are expensive or difficult to get to. You’d not believe how easy some of them are to do.

It's not just that I mean most of the foreign theme parks I've visited I've paid full price for entry into so now if I'm visiting Europa Park and the likes for two days I'll be saving nearly 50% on my entry.

We can confirm that as of the 2019 season, holders of a Europa-ParkClub Card (Annual Pass) will be able to gain one free admission to Blackpool Pleasure Beach, one of the most historic amusement parks in Europe and home to several MACK Rides attractions including Icon and Avalanche. I wonder if they'll have done any restoration/effect fixing in Valhalla over the winter?

Personally I still maintain the view that it'd be better for the park to leave it closed over WOW Weekends, use the time (and saved running costs) to give it the scenic restoration it desperately needs and then open it in time for Easter in top form, rather than rush to reopen it in the middle of February and have it running in a mediocre state throughout the year.
