Nearly 10,000 people? Will be interesting to see how the park deals with this <gets popcorn>

Good that they are warning people, but I bet this will push speedy pass sales up. Edit: Just realised it wasn’t the park warning people, but a fan site.

I’m not at the park but I am surprised SpeedyPass is available for sale, I always thought WOW weekends they didn’t offer it.

You can’t blame the park though they are desperate for money so if people are willing to pay it’s easy money to make

It's not really acceptable when the park is running the way it did last weekend, IMO. Short term it'll bring them in a bit more money, but long term it'll destroy their reputation and guest experience.

Those visitor numbers are insane the opening weekend last year the place was empty, admittedly the weather was much worse.

Clearly the appetite in the country is there for parks to be open year long. You'd have thought an indoor theme park would do great business. You'd have the market completely to yourself for nearly 4 months whilst everyone else was closed.

Completely agree with you Jamie.

Anyone know if they offered refunds for SP last weekend?

My brother is in the park now, says queue to get in is past Pizza Hut, and due to numbers they opened early and have extended to 6pm today. Fair play to them.

Also he says they are selling Valhalla shields. I guess the ones that Jamie wasn't happy were removed from the boats, but were actually removed as they were a tripping hazard and may be sold out by the time he next visits anyway :p

Seen a report on Farcebook that Nash is on 2 trains, Big one has broken and Pleausre beach Express is apparently derailed. Icon apparently on 3 trains though.

The shields were on sale last weekend for £50!

They even had an old breaking stick thing from one of the wooden coasters, that was £150! Someone bought that as well.

The new bits of merch they had on sale (and what they told us during the talk) looked really good as well.

Tempted by the 3D printed trains but for £80 I'll be waiting until the range is much bigger so I can choose my favourite.

Ride times were published, but got pulled when they realised people were checking how busy the park was before visiting.
The M6/61 merge was clogged by 10am...half term overlap area for most regions, sunny Saturday...bound to be hell.
Would not want to be there this afternoon.
The shields were fifty quid dippy, and were selling...I blame shakey for not telling you!
And Jamie...I closed a conversation with you because I had absolutely nothing more to say to you on the matter...but I will still call you out when you tell fibs!

I did a quick 2 and a half hour visit today to get over my coaster withdrawal symptoms :p it was BUSY! The queue for Icon was out of the gate but actually was only a solid 25 mins due to nifty 3 train ops and the staff being on the ball with great despatch times. PMBO was on 2 trains but on 2 separate occasions it was stuck about a third of the way up the lift hill.

Nash seemed a little temperamental on just 2 trains and the queues for pretty much every ride were spilling out of the queue lines

To be fair everyone seemed to be having a good day (except for the people they had to evac off the pleasure beach express  ). Valhalla was also being evac'd when I was leaving around 2pm ... I've never seen a queue that long for Valhalla in Feb before :D

All in all, entrance queues aside and the lack of the promised "annual pass exclusive entrance" at the arena , things looked under control for such a busy day on park
