Yellowstone park was simply the crap concrete rockwork the train goes through, was originally western style, then they added dinosaurs and camels from the Pleasureland leftovers.Great map! So much that hasn’t changed!
I presume the area labelled “Yellowstone Park” is today buried somewhere in the Big Blue’s foundations? Was this just a bit of a scene that the railway passed through? Would the area beneath Streak and Big One’s final turn be remnants of that today?
Edit...double post...whip me.
Lol! Also can i ask does anyone know a list of Blackpool Pleasure Beach rides or attractions that were planned but were never built (could have just said cancelled by yh)!Mods, punish him. Ban him for a week, as long as it doesn’t coincide with his self imposed winter tech exile

I think the 'bigger one' was certainly something they'd planned in the early 2000s, been so many different sources regarding that.
Only other things I ever heard was a rapids ride, which made sense as they had the old Tom Sawyer boat ride area. And weirdly one of those King Kong things were he picks up your carriage and shakes it (there's one at Bobbejaanland).
Suppose they must've had other coaster ideas as well as an initial idea for Nickelodeon Land was to supposedly flatten the two coasters as well. I believe the park convinced Nickelodeon that the woodies would fit the area.
What is the King Kong thing? Is it similar to the backlot tour at Disney in Florida
Don’t get your hopes up too much. It’s probably one of the dullest theme park creations ever built.
I genuinely think I nodded off riding it.
Out of interest, was the Tom Sawyer boat ride that this cancelled rapids ride was mooted to replace on the lake that the former Tom Sawyer Bridge went over, which was later replaced with Icon?Only other things I ever heard was a rapids ride, which made sense as they had the old Tom Sawyer boat ride area.
As for the Bigger One, a lot of sources indicated that it would have been an Intamin Accelerator Coaster akin to Top Thrill Dragster or Kingda Ka, had it been built. I’m not sure where on earth it would have gone, however...

I can picture that happening now!Yes it was. They were rafts. Great fun going under Log Flume and getting the roof (and your feet) splashed with water from above.
As for a gigantic 400 foot top hat rising out of the Irish Sea, there would be more chance of Geoffrey Thompson rising from the dead, sacking Mandy, and putting @rob666 in charge, whereby he would rebuild Wild Mouse, Log Flume and his beloved Reel
I believe the idea was it would launch along Watson Road over the road before going up the top hat were the 'supports' can be seen on the prom to this day. It certainly would've been some sight if it had happened.
They used to have a very basic model of a strata coaster in the education centre but whether that was the final plan who knows.
As in an actual physical support or markings?
