I'd always recommend The Big Blue, you get free parking with that as well (sadly not from April next year). A very good breakfast, plus you can get your park wristbands in the reception and your own entrance for the first hour or so of park opening which is great for access to Icon and the Big One.

They do clubcard dscounts through their website too, but I don't know if it's off the gate price or the online price
The discount is off the online price....you get £1.50 for every 50p you change i bought 4 wristbands with them for last week
The Star gate/blackpool airport premier inn is a good place to stay....you could leave your car there the day after your stay and get the bus/tram to the pleasure beach

Cheers people. Gonna have a browse on the internet. I like the idea of Clubcard vouchers
Edit - Do you reckon September 10th should be pretty quiet? Opening hours are 11-5 apparently.
Weekdays in Sept and Oct are great. Park is quiet so despite the opening times not seeming great, you can get a lot of rides in during said time
£59 with free parking at Premier Inn BeachTo be fair, with Tesco clubcard, if I book today it will only cost me £8 in vouchers for a wristband for Monday Sep 10th. Then I'd just have to get me a cheapish hotel and sort parking and I'd be good to go![]()

Can’t remember the source but it was on here a few months ago too so is not new news
It depends on what you're looking for. I love the Mack launchers because they're thrilling, fun but not intense start to finish but I ride rides for fun, not for intensity. Most common Top 5 coasters in a country would be the world class ones in my opinion. I think that'd be Nemesis, Icon, The Swarm, Oblivion and maybe even Stealth (got some kind of record for the launch intensity, I think). Now I prefer the smiler to the swarm, stealth and Oblivion, and when first open it was world class. It isn't now but still a solid coaster for me. I'd guess there's around 100-200 "world class coasters" out there. Icon to me is world class. Good layout, good pacing, aesthetically pleasing, comfy, and I could reride all day without getting bored, not possible for many coasters to do that. All the B&Ms I this country are great, unlike some "good B&Ms" I don't like Galactica as Galactica but it does exactly what air was intended to do and executes it well, and not many dislike the actual ride. Perfect starting thrill coaster.
Exactly. I don't get why so many are so quick to 'call' something world class and almost force that opinion on everyone else.
As has been said, list the 'top 5 in the country' you invariably get Oblivion and the Swarm thrown into the mix, why I have no idea.
It's like when TV shows or papers 'rank' things, they Google the coasters with impressive stats and go from there. The Blackpool woodies for example are (in my opinion of course) better than both of the above (and the Big One) but who wants to read about three woodies from the 30''s outclassing most of today's multi million pound gimmicks?

Guessing they won't have enough spaces for both hotels. Certainly rather rubbish news though.

I played it earlier in the year to get four wristbands. It took some dedication! If you want a free wristband and have hours of time on your hands then download the Big One Buckle Up app to play for a free wristband.

Why do you rule out B&Bs? There are plenty in Blackpool where you could probably get a single room for the night with free car parking and breakfast thrown in for £30.Looking to do an overnight lone visit to the Pleasure Beach when the kids have gone back to school. Don't wanna stay in a B&B.

Premier Inn Central for 1 night with free parking for £48.
Adult wristband for £8 Tesco clubcard points.
£56 for accomodation, parking and theme park entry. Not too bad at all. Just need to add petrol.
Thanks for your help guys, really appreciate it
