Busch Gardens Tampa: General Discussion

All day dining gets you 2 for 1 on beers. It's around 40 dollars per adult but if you're there from opening to closing you certainly get your money's worth.

$9 for a beer is cheap for a US theme park. The exchange rate doesn't help though.
Still can’t get my head round tax being added at the till. Seems all wrong

@Dipper_Dave How would you feel about a Tigris clone alongside the Tom Sawyer bridge instead of Icon?

Here's hoping hurricane dorian doesn't do damage.

Iron Gwazi?
Who came up with that? Terrible.

Agreed. I like Gwazi as a name but it doesn't make sense here. Not to mention it doesn't even follow the old layout anymore, so I'm not sure why they're sticking with the Gwazi name. Feels a bit Six Flags.I thought the term Gwazi referred to it being half a lion and half a tiger, so if the new version is themed to alligators, then that doesn't make any sense...
...the actual coaster looks incredible however.
But yeah, the ride looks stunning. So I guess this is just petty enthusiast moaning.

Must say I'm not over impressed with gwazi, less air time moments than untamed. Looks like it's going to be closer to Zadra with a speed and intensity focus. Was hoping it could dethrone Vengence

I love how you've just binned it off based on several shots rather than a full POV.

Haven't binned it just was hoping they would try and 1up Vengence on more than just drop height.I love how you've just binned it off based on several shots rather than a full POV.
Based my reaction on this fan based POV which is based on the snipits of POV we have seen so far and footer position. It looks pretty accurate to me.

It's missing the 3rd inversion and the big turn with nothing happening looks a bit off. It seems like a fairly accurate prediction otherwise though.
Also it being like Zadra is a negative? Zadra looks like one of the best RMCs to me.

Zadra does look brilliant and I'm off to energylandia next weekend specifically to Ride it. I'm expecting it to be my new no 1.
Guess I was just hoping for for an airtime machine like Vengence with some of the better elements from the other Big RMC coasters like the Zero g stall. We got a more speed and intensity focused coaster which is great but just hoped it could also capture the insane airtime of Vengence.

Not every single RMC needs to be chock full of airtime.
Not every single RMC needs to stand as a Steel Vengeance killer or attempt to go toe to toe with it.
Not every single RMC needs to be the BEST COASTER IN THE WORLD.
What makes RMC's great is how unique they are to each other, yet share how utterly smooth they are and their relentless patches. If anything they compliment each other so well. Iron Gwazi is inevitably going to be a great coaster but above all, it's a much needed investment for BGT and it's great Florida is finally getting a well deserved RMC.

Why does it NEED to beat Steel Vengeance? Perhaps that was the peak of RMC?
Plus without even seeing the ACTUAL layout (i.e. not some NL recreation) we can't even tell if there may or may not be areas of ridiculous airtime...
At least it will be better than what stood before...

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Slow adverse camber turns out of the station are not big and not clever, they are weird and horrible. Just stop it.
Other than that though, looks great. As a saidist I was quite the fan of Original Gwazi, even so this looks like a hell of an improvement.
