It's not out of the question, I guess! It all depends on whether Columbia/Tri-Star minds having animals in the Jumanji area; I guess it would fit with the films!I have heard that a new Asiatic Lion and Western Lowland Gorilla enclosure are being built. As thease animals are native to The Amazon, could their new enclosures open with the new Land. I know that Chessington are brilliant in integrating animals into their Theme Park.
to be honest @Matt N I have never seen the Jumanji films. I’m only 22 so I think they came out before my time. I will endeavour to visit Chessy next season, too experience my first inverting Rollercoaster. Due to this I’ll watch the Jumanji films too understand the rides I’ll be going on. I think Jumanji is the best IP that Chessington have ever had. It’s jungle themed a Chessington is themed around Wild Adventures. The only thing I am worried about is Vampire. I’m worried that Vampire may close at the end of this year’s season. My reasoning is firstly due to the major breakdown it had the other week and secondly due to its age. I love Vampire and too lose it would be devastatingI'd imagine that at very least, the coaster's name itself will have Jumanji in there somewhere, so as to promote the IP. That's usually the way with IP rides outside of Disney and Universal.
With regard to the bolded; the new series, starring Dwayne Johnson, came out in the late 2010s, so you and I were born. And that's likely to be the basis of this ride as well as the new Gardaland dark ride (well, it's almost definitely the basis of the new Garda dark ride, as the park have run promos with lookalikes of Dwayne Johnson and the other characters from the new Jumanji films).to be honest @Matt N I have never seen the Jumanji films. Especially when Mardi Gras is a thing that the British really don’t get. There could when been so many other options Thorpe and chessie could have done.Always happy to see new events at the park but it's a little disappointing each park has a copy and paste event. It's a shame a few unique summer events weren't created for the different resorts.
Yes, I consider myself very interested in other cultures and I was only really aware of the basic concept of Mardi's Gras' and I still don't no much about it. There are so many other options to go for, like the carnival event at thorpe. I think there must've been some sort of directive gone out from Merlin HQ saying the parks should run events and then listed examples and these are the examples we've seen, shame really because I think there's loads of potential.Especially when Mardi Gras is a thing that the British really don’t get. It will be interesting what each park does with theirs as I found the towers event just lacking something, but hopefully with covid restrictions gone it will be much better this year.
Apparently the themed wall's being provided by the same company who themed Air's tunnel.Jungle Bus in Wild Asia won’t operate for the 2022 season
The ride has reached the end of its life. It’s hoped it’ll be replaced for the 2023 season, but for now it’ll be covered up with a ‘themed wall’.
Forgiveable, considering the 2 new rides for 2022 and 3 for 2023.
RMC?Apparently the themed wall's being provided by the same company who themed Air's tunnel.
Chessington have emailed to say Seastorm, Tiger Rock, Dragon's Fury, Gruffalo and Monkey Swinger will be unavailable on passholder preview day.
Either they’re binning it, or they’re ‘retheming it’ and moving it to the new area when opens… It did look like some kind of miami-style ride would go there on the plans?Jungle Bus in Wild Asia won’t operate for the 2022 season

@deanW this thought did go through my mind. I am expecting to see Jungle Bus in Project Amazon, maybe with a new name and theme but the same ride none the less. If this does not happen I think Jungle Bus will martialize at Crealy. Crealy are opening a new area called Sooty Land. As part of Sooty Land there will be the same ride type as Jungle Bus.Either they’re binning it, or they’re ‘retheming it’ and moving it to the new area when opens… It did look like some kind of miami-style ride would go there on the plans?
Wouldn’t have to be much of a retheme, either…
I guess we’ll have to wait and see! It would make sense though.@deanW this thought did go through my mind.
