But understand London area schools are actually off the week after
Half term is both weeks depending on your school (hence why the parks are open those two weeks) though the majority are just the second week.

Hopefully that forecast sticks.Half term is both weeks depending on your school (hence why the parks are open those two weeks) though the majority are just the second week.
Queue-Times has a prediction error of ~20% for Chessington World of Adventures. Data is also skewed because it appears to take closed days, in previous years, as 0% attendance. just some things to bear in mind!Hopefully that forecast sticks.
Pretty standard stuff for Chessington. There's been worse than that of course... staff, as well as minors, have been physically punched by more aggressive punters.
While I didn't see inappropriate behaviour quite as gross at Legoland and Paultons luckily, I did clock a handful of sketchy looking lads vaping/smoking outside of designated areas and at Paultons I saw litter in some of the queue areas (with littering on the paths scooped up by burley security men).
I heard Thorpe Park at times has had similar issues with idiot guests.
It sounds Chessington needs bouncer/cooler type security men if you have visitors who are physically violent (and we had unfortunare car park stabbing a month or so ago).
If you're evicted from a Merlin attraction, and you hold a MAP, they will and do cancel it with immediate effect. If you're shelling out £169+ a year (because Discovery passes don't really cover weekends), you're likely not going to misbehave in a away that will have you evicted.Probably another issue with MAP culture. If you're shelling out £60+ a visit you might think twice about behaving in a way that will have you evicted but if you can just come back the following weekend it's almost a free playground for mischief.
Yep, they are all pricey. Food at Chessington, as an example, is damn expensive, especially those little stands - or as I heard one guy say, it's a f****** rip-off. No MAP discount at those stands either.I was somewhat surprised today, to have been charged £17.95 for what I’d describe as a medium sized pot of noodles at the concession stand opposite Dragon’s Fury. I tend not to buy food when I’m at the Merlin parks, but is this typical sort of pricing these days?

- Basically confirms it’s Minecraft without confirming its Minecraft
- Confirms this is completely separate from Project Horizon which is still going ahead and there will be an update next week
No new information other than that but I enjoyed seeing someone talk through the plans with diagrams and videos.
We don't. A stopped clock is right twice a day and, frankly, the suggestion that Horizon was cancelled and moved to Chessington because shed was always tenuous at best. You would’ve thought
He also seems to skip the all so key survey though.
I’m not sure if he’s been right historically, but it does seem kind of ‘sources; trust me bro’-ish.
Unless he’s going to get someone in trouble, why do we never know his sources?
yeah even if it is the same ride system, it isn't very uncommon at tussauds/merlin to have 2 of the same rides manurfacture installs at their parks at similar times.the suggestion that Horizon was cancelled and moved to Chessington because shed was always tenuous at best.
To be fair, he probably has a better idea than we do. He did work at the place for a good while. To be fair, Shawn has been right a fair amount in the past. I’m not sure what kind of declaration he makes in this video, as I haven’t watched it, but I’ve noticed that he has previously had hunches with very little discernible evidence that he’s talked about and even made videos about in some cases that have turned out to be right.
For example, he was saying towards the start of 2022 that Duel was in a right state and was going to have work done to it, and even did a video on it despite little discernible evidence to suggest this… and The Curse at Alton Manor ended up opening the year after.
I believe he was also similarly adamant that Sub Terra would reopen a while before it did or even before any external work happened, despite a lack of discernible evidence at the time, and he was vindicated when it reopened in 2023.
I’m not saying he’s right all the time or that he’s some kind of oracle or something, but I do think Shawn has a good track record for this sort of stuff, and although people are quick to dismiss him because he’s a YouTuber, I do trust his sources based on his previous track record.
Seconded. These are two positions that I've been pretty adamant about, but I have no more insider knowledge than anyone else. Merely educated guesses based on the survey, past practices and Occam's razor. Not because I also definitely heard Spencer Holt say all of this to Bianca, whilst they were strolling across the lawns. Being a goose has its benefits. Very effective camouflage.Claiming that Horizon is still happening and that Chessie are getting a Minecraft area (something a number mentioned at the announcement of the development plan) are both claims sat in fairly middle of the road capabilities of anyone to reckon.
Anyone have any guesses on what the flat ride could be based on the image?
It looks like a flat ride was always the intention, on the consultation website the building is labelled as "New Indoor Ride", with basically the same dimensions as the updated plan. In many ways, it all makes a lot of sense, as that would be a tiny footprint for a tracked dark ride.I thought Minecraft land was getting a dark ride as well as rollercoaster. But it looks like the flat ride is something similar to barrell bailout. 4 circular things on the plan submitted today.
