Western themed areas are generic anyway. If they can extend the Mexican style of Rattlesnake across a reimagined area with new immersive high throughput flat rides and a small family coaster that'd be delightful. If it’s true that Scorpion Express is kaput , they could do a double whammy with it and Rattlesnake to free up a large area …

With the state both attractions are jn that would be great, but having just spent all their money on Jumanji and a huge amount more committed to the waterpark, when would they realistically be given the sort of funding to do an area that size justice? If it’s true that Scorpion Express is kaput , they could do a double whammy with it and Rattlesnake to free up a large area …
It does feel like they should have spent more time and money fixing the existing park before building the big new area.

I could see Rattlesnake being removed in the future, it's the only 1.4m ride in the entire park.

The 2 star hygiene rating and pictures that were posted here a little while back for the hotels has made its way to the local news.

Chessington WoA hotel had 'fly infestations' and mouldy food
The Safari Hotel was found to have a "consistent lack of routine cleaning" in its food hygiene report
So we visited Chessington today and have to say that the park is looking like its unloved , dirty rides and in need of some TLC.
Most are easy fixes like wiping down the elephants on flying jumbos, they are more black in places, facades rotten and falling off buildings.
Now this didn't affect the actual day much but it left an impression.
Now food …. Please take a moment to read the below description vs what was served …. Safe to say it wasn't good, 20 minute wait for food the park wasn’t overly busy and what was served was cold
bacon turned from the photo of bacon … to the salad topping of bacon bits … AKA not bacon

Judging from the hygiene rating there's a chance that is real bacon on there, it's just decomposed!

That must fall short on the legal requirements of food description and advertising.

Stumbled across this video from a former Chessington employee which provides a bit of an insight into the working culture within the park..
Different departments and teams are managed very differently. From what I recall from my time in the Rides department at Chessington a while back now, the management style in our rides team was very nurturing, compassionate and personable, while still driving the kind of things you'd expect like efficiency and guest experience (while not pandering to unreasonable and abusive guests anyway). We'd regularly socialize with our management team outside of work and interact with them on social media. A lot of managers began as ride host/operator colleagues and worked their way up, so it was like a very tight knit family environment. Ultimately though the management style boils down to who the line manager is.

Is there even three tenders in there? I would have taken that straight back to get the bacon added or a refund.

Not one to stick up for Merlin, espcially having worked for them, but he sounds like a nuisance tbh. Main gripe seems to be that he isnt allowed to take videos while on shift and upload them to his youtube channel?
For balance, there is another video on his channel where he has taken a sneaky video of some young women, minding their own business and compared them to dogs.
Edit: other youtube short videos include "which Asian country has the best women?", "Girl with a booty grinding in Zoo Bar London" and "how much does it cost to get an Escort in London?".
Glad he got the boot.

Yes we went back, apparently the photo’d bacon isnt part of the dish, but the salad style bacon grounds are….Is there even three tenders in there? I would have taken that straight back to get the bacon added or a refund.

Then why is it in the photo? It also states bacon in the written text too, not bacon flavour soya bits. I think it’s definitely being mis-sold, that isn’t just a poor quality serving it’s not what is being promised.Yes we went back, apparently the photo’d bacon isnt part of the dish, but the salad style bacon grounds are….
