This was definitely slower the whole way up, rather than just at the top. Was slightly weird to not be going up so fast.Fury been like that for months. It goes up usual speed but at the crest it slows for 2-3 seconds then launches. It hits the block bar as it comes down which releases the spinning action

Fair enough, well I guess most people are rather upset that Alton Towers is no longer the favourite child of the Merlin group.
There isn’t a “favourite child” of the group, that’s the point, you are putting an emotional slant on the decisions Merlin make which doesn’t exist.
Don’t think it’s anything to be upset about either, personally I would rather Merlin makes the best out of all its parks, I don’t need them to have favourites, I want them to maximise all of them.

Interesting historical piece here. Saying they limited guests to 12500 per day. Also some early construction footage of Vampire/Transylvania, concept art for Bubbleworks and what sounds like an early version of the Bubbleworks music theme.

I believe that the weight limit where they couldn't run a full train of 4 adults has been a thing for a very long time and is consistent even on peak days.I do wonder if there might be a new policy here, because if three adults are to be allowed to ride (with or without a child) they can do so only if the weight limit isn't exceeded. Three average-to-large adults will generally exceed the weight limit so perhaps this new policy is to reduce the embarrassment of telling people they're too heavy - or possibly sparing the staff from confrontation by groups that are required to split up.
Still though it is very frustrating to see cars being sent half empty when you know you could have been batched with another group. If this policy is retained on peak days that's going to result in horrendously long waits and even more angry visitors.
