Well this Cummings affair is going to undermine the government advice.
I wonder how long it will be for police chiefs comment on it causing issues with covid distancing rules enforcement.

The government's aim isn't to be truthful.
It's to ensure society as a whole gets throught this.

Currently my neighbour (husband and wife, two young children) have just had one man (brother), then a man, woman and a child round in the garden as my neighbours are constructing some sort of shed. She has been off work for weeks, but owns a nursery and we think is now preparing to be at work, and he is a truck driver. But in all this time they've been doing the right thing. I've even seen her answer the door and use a grabber to take parcels from people, and I think they've taken as a family about two walks, so we are really surprised at this. Four different people in two hours and absolutely no distancing. All three kids were even in the trampoline.

Police can’t enforce any distancing rules as there is nothing in law about it. It is merely guidance, albeit one that should be followed as best it can.
 
Furious doesn't begin to explain how I've felt during that whole press conference. It makes a complete mockery of the rules, especially given Cummings seems to have been one of the people who was strongly pushing for lockdown in the first place.
 
Cummings isn't earning his money at the moment is he? Worst strategy ever. Not exactly a genius is he? Should have thrown in the towel and apologised and tried to sweep it under the carpet a couple of days ago. What are they paying him for if he's this stupid?
 
I was at least expecting boris to say they were investigating the claims of Cummings being at a castle during lockdown.
That would be looking at the rule breaking part of the story.

Well he wouldn't let them come back on their questions like they're normally entitled to do. We all know burying your head in the sand is an effective strategy.
 
I honestly think lockdown has gone insane. Somehow I keep forgetting the days of the week and then somehow both me and my partner forgot it was bank holiday weekend. She decided to come home as she had a week off, forgot to check public transport times for Sunday so she can’t get back to her temporary accommodation in England. She rings her work to ask if it’s ok if she’s an hour or two late as it takes her 4 hours to get from home to work. Somehow her work must of forgot the rules as they said absolutely not she must be in by 8am bank holiday Monday and if she is can’t make it by public transport she must get someone from her family to pick her up. Now I’m sure anyone who runs a business knows you can’t ask someone to drive from England to wales to collect someone. This is what lockdown has been about confusion and then more confusion. Be glad when it’s all over eventually.
 
I've seen at least three polls now on Twitter, all of which suggest the majority of the general public support BoJo and Cummings. Now they may have been circulated round right wing groups, but one of them had 31,000 votes. Wtf?
