Whilst its funny to see people act like that it worries me that people make a blanket assumption that people not wearing masks are being selfish.
We've got the sneeze guards installed as opposed to a full-on security screen. It's not ideal, but at least we've got something, and for some customers, it's something I'm really glad we've got due to the amount they spray when they speak. Disgusting, I know, but it's the truth. We've also got colleague-worn cameras, which we don't have to wear, but I've tended to since having customers properly kick off for the lack of gloves on the forecourt and not accepting my explanation as to why. Long story short is that people saw us as a free PPE station and nicked all the gloves, depleting stocks at an alarming rate. It's been a problem across the whole company, and isn't just limited to one site. Thing is, though, we aren't legally obliged to offer people gloves to use when filling their vehicles up to stop them from getting any fuel residue on their hands. It's just a courtesy! We have now got some other gloves which we leave on top of the coal & barbecue bunker outside, so people can get some if they wish. Plus, because it's right by the shop, it's a lot easier to see if people are nicking handfuls of them.

Paddington station played a masks are required but not all disabilities are visible announcement, it was one thing.I went to Sainsbury's today and must admit, I was actually pleasantly surprised. Everybody was wearing a face covering, young and old, and all staff were too except those on the checkouts who were behind screens. When I left I saw one man entering without a face covering, so if he didn't have a legitimate reason I hope he felt awkward for being the odd one out and will comply next time.
They also had automated announcements. One was asking everybody to wear a face covering to comply with the latest government guidance, and then several minutes later there was another one, "Not all disabilities are visible. Please be considerate to other shoppers and colleagues who may not be able to social distance or wear a face covering...". It was good to hear both

Well social distancing could be in place til next year, so I wouldn't be surprised if masks are too.
There's apparently some evidence that it works both ways but primarily to stop someone spreading.

It's not his style to be accurate. The fact that he's publicly saying this with such certainty makes me suspect he knows something he isn't telling.
That’s true, I suppose; Boris could well have intel on things like vaccine development that we don’t, and he likely knows how the government intends to do things like vaccinate people.
