I said this near the start of this thread. I still think that I might have had covid back in Oct/Nov 2019 before we even heard of covid19. I usually resilient to colds and flu, but whatever I came down with, sure knocked me for six unlike anything that I ever experience before. Some people that I know also have been saying the same thing.

My daughter had something similar over Xmas 2019, she was in bed for over a week and never normally suffers bad from cold.
We put it down to flu but neither me or the wife got ill.

I was also deliriously ill over Christmas 2019, and couldn't fly home to the UK from Europe, as initially planned. When I did get home and collapsed in my room for a few days (what we would now call 'isolating'!), my parents then got ill. We all assumed it might have been early COVID, but the vaccine response suggested we hadn't in fact had it. Although it covered every symptom, and we did have 15-18 months for the antibodies to dissolve. We will likely never know!

Vision being weird is definitely a new one by me. I had Covid (I think, anyway, you couldn't get tested in late March 2020!) and didn't have anything like that.

I had blurry vision when I had long COVID. It seemingly linked in with some high blood pressure I had at the time and it was something that kicked in every time I tried to exercise last year. I have been exercising a lot more this year and it has seemingly disappeared.

I have no advice on how to help but I thought the validation might be useful.

Remember to log any side effects on the yellow card website. I found by downloading the current months data sheet that my weird burning skin symptom had been reported by many others.

I also had a blood test done a few days after the second vaccine and it really threw some of the figures off!

Anybody else had some crazy effects post 2nd Pfizer jab? I had mine on Sunday and ever since my vision has been a bit weird and I've had a bizarre head ache, like being drunk without the fun.
I would be inclined to call 111 or contact your doctor for advice.

I appreciate you had Pfizer but for AstraZenica, "an unusual headache that may be accompanied by blurred vision, confusion, difficulty with speech, weakness, drowsiness or seizures (fits)" is a sign you should seek medical attention as it's associated with low platelets.

I went into Morrisons today and its about 80% wearing masks and 20% not.

Last Monday I went into a shop and this woman came running up to me way too close, telling me I didn't have to wear a mask anymore and 'They can't control us like that anymore' She didn't work there, just some random woman

When I said id rather wear one as Covid hasn't gone and im not stupid enough to think it has

she gave me a really dirty look and walked off

It's been nice going shopping without having to wear one. I tend to do my food shop when it's quiet anyway and in my experience fewer people are masked during these times since there's plenty of room. I'm more concerned with how empty the shelves have been. In cafes/restaurants/pubs mask wearing is much, much lower.

I'm still giving people space but am not fussed if people choose to get near me, except in queues, but even before COVID I always hated when people stood close to you since there's literally no reason to.

Unfortunately still have to wear one for 10 hours a day at work.

Cheers. I rang 111 on Tuesday. Three times actually.

The first they said they'd get my GP to call back within 2 hrs. Then 3 hrs later I rang my GP who said that wasn't how it worked and they wouldn't have time to call me that afternoon.

So I called back and was told I was mistaken, that no promise had been made and that nothing could be done on their end until the GP closes and they can do something out-of-hours.

So I rang back again, out of hours, went through the same stuff checking I wasn't having a stroke again... and they told me to go to eye casualty within an hour. Not terribly impressive tbh.

I went back to work today and found the whole thing most distressing - it turns out I can't remember what I bloody did on Friday (last day I worked) at all - meetings which I can see I attended I had no memory of.

I'll get on the GP's list again tomorrow morning. I have also started a diet in the last week so I wonder if that's somehow related.

So Thorpe Parkis being used as a vaccine site to encourage more young people to get it Covid vaccine: Thorpe Park in Surrey opens pop-up clinic - BBC News, including staff.

The comments on all the Thorpe Park Facebook posts today are now full of anti-vaxxers who are making out that the mere sight of a vaccine centre will ruin their day at the theme park!

Same people that would turn up to a hanging o_O

Hopefully it improves take up for those that want/need it :)

You mean I can have my vaccine whilst on Stealth?

Right at the apex of the Top Hat :D

"We just don't know what's in it" says Karen from Staines without a hint of irony, halfway through a Rollover hotdog.

Someone on my instagram constantly shares bullcrap on how the vaccines are causing more deaths than covid ever did, her source is 'Iansmithfitness' on twitter who constantly shares unverified sources then tells people to 'do your own research'. Its absolutely ridiculous

Seems to be a lot of anti-vaxx jumping on this post saying they'll never visit again, shame on them etc etc.

I do find anti-vaxx to be a strange crowd. Do they know you can go to the park and not have the vaccine?
