What a mess the park is turning into. Rather than doing a proper job, they are just quick fixing everything.

How can enterprises fences get higher. They are at least 6 feet high already!Enterprise has been infected
I may be wrong but I'm sure the fences in the first area of the queue line (that doesn't go behind the cabin) have shot up.How can enterprises fences get higher. They are at least 6 feet high already!

The Air fences look awful in person.
Anyway I was at Thorpe Park yesterday, and there was not one danger of death sign anywhere on park. There was also no new larger fences or any other Heath and safety changes any where on park.
So it's not a Merlin thing, just a towers thing.

Looks like there's a new tag-line:

I think this is just something done overnight to stop the hse from saying anything. Would have taken longer to replace the whole fence
Unbolt the old and put the new in one panel at a time, shouldn't take any longer than welding stuff.
You see, this seems to be the Alton Towers way these days. Its like the Rita scaffolding; Why can Thorpe run Stealth with people walking and queuing under the launch when Alton cant? Is it actual fact the HSE have got Alton to make all these changes to the fences or are they doing it all off their own back?

Just out of interest, how many of you guys own property? So why didn't they go to Intamin and retrofit a channel to house the cable, as is the case on Stealth? Why be satisfied with a shed load of scaffolding... Ahh... of course... Cost....![]()
You must bankrupt yourselves doing all sorts to your houses. There's plenty of jobs that would be nice to do in my home, but instead the bank balance wins. Always.

With all due respect, Merlin has a lot more money than the average joe.

Merlin is debt ridden - look at the balance sheet. Also, if you want to break it down to simplicity like that - it also has huge financial responsibilties relating to staff, property, cap-ex etc and don't forget, DEBT!With all due respect, Merlin has a lot more money than the average joe.
Not to mention, it's a public company with money hungry shareholders like myself who want growth after a very turbulent period.

No idea on the different launch track but After the cable snap on Rita the area under Stealths launch track was closed off (Conveniently themed to The Swarm during its construction)
Over that closed season additional rails were added to the end of the launch track extending them further outwards and you can now walk under there.
