I agree. This has been the first series in a very long time where I've enjoyed every single episode.
It’s a shame that there are rumours that Disney will not renew their deal with BBC, and we’re likely looking at at least a two-year gap before any new Doctor Who. It feels like the show has gotten into a good rhythm in this series.

I don't know,4 out of 6 storeys have had exactly the same storey arc:
Man feels betrayed, man gets bitter, man seeks revenge, man harms others, doctor hates man, doctor lectures audience about why ego is bad.
It's not a sentiment I disagree with in terms of raging online toxicity these days, but man it's lazy! Think bigger RTD!

It's found an unexpected rhythm. I see the gentlemans point about 4 and 6 having similar plots. I felt four was clever, to use a former companion to bring down something other than the Doctor. Ideally, I don't think you bring the doctor in at all at the end. I am guessing BBC and Disney want the actor they are paying big money for. I don't think either episodes where lazy. We have a couple of weeks left to see why these two episodes mold into the final plot.
I have been happy with this series. The episodes have flowed well. The series plot has hasn't been over bearing and allowed good story telling. Ncuti Gatwa has proved to be a very good choice for the role and the current companion is actually decent.
As I have said above, it feels like the series was twenty years ago.
It's amazing how the similarities between the old and new series have come around. It was at the 20 year stage the BBC started to get fed up with the original series. This version of WHO is now only 5 years short of lasting as long as the original and it would seem to be at a similar cross roads.

I think Billie Piper's Doctor is an interim Doctor referred to as The Bad Wolf Doctor and is basically the Doctor influenced by the Bad Wolf Entity and is unstable by it's energy.Oh yes, this season was SO much better! I saw the finale in a cinema on the night and it was great!
And Billie piper is the doctor! Theories, anyone?
Then will regenerate into 16 at the end of a series of specials.

BIG NEWS
Today the BBC has announced that Doctor Who will return to our screens for a Christmas Special in 2026. Disney has announced that they are no longer partnering with the BBC for the show, however the BBC stay fully commited. Details for the next series will be revealed in due course! Of course, in the meantime, we have The War Between The Land And The Sea and news on the Cbeebies animated show to wait for. Opinions?

My issue with Bad Wolf is that its comprised of RTD's cronies from the first time around. Whilst their other shows have been very good, I worry that their involvement dilute the product somewhat.Bad Wolf is fine. RTD... yehhh, he's run his course.
I'm also not particularly happy with the BBC's longest running television drama being produced by a 3rd party commercial company... Which is ironic considering the amount of justifying I've been doing of outsourcing recently in various topics.

The last two series have been good, with some great episodes. The two-part finales ruin it.
The wording regarding RTD in the press statement is interesting:
Rather odd wording given he (as far as we know) is meant to be the showrunner for Doctor Who.
It wouldn't surprise me if the 2026 Christmas Special will be a Billie Piper/David Tennant special and the end of RTD2. Then 2027 onwards a new distributor/streaming partner, new showrunner, maybe even a new production partner. What the show needs next is something fresh and stability.

Yeh yeh. If it were RWS producing the show rather than Bad Wolf, I'm sure you'd be all for itI'm also not particularly happy with the BBC's longest running television drama being produced by a 3rd party commercial company... Russel might need to use his Scottish fire extinguisher once again it seems.
Personally as much as I love the show (and Tenant's portrayal of the doctor) I honestly thing there's been so much damage done that it needs resting for close to a decade.
That's enough time for people to form their own more positive memories of the show they remembered growing up, detach them from the cynicism the past few series have created, and for a whole new generation to pick it up almost afresh as in 2005.
It's the same with the likes of Jurassic Park and Star Wars. The IP is so juicy studios can't resist it, but continue like that and you're in fast & furious territory and each release becomes "You're joking? - not another one?" (to quote the meme!)
But alas, the BBC have opted to used RTD's fire extinguisher doctor. (One of them anyway. There's three to choose from!)
