Oh dear a shame to see that this has happened but it's not a major disaster thankfully meaning the animals are safe, the first priority of course! Good luck with clearing up the mess Drayton!

They are very lucky it’s only damaged the toilet block and shop. It could have been a lot worse if it had spread to the entrance building or the nearby Thomas rides.

They certainly are lucky it didn’t spread, I see some rides being stored nesr the toilet block, so there certainly could be some damage to those rides there.Here's an overhead photo of Drayton showing the damage caused by the fire. Credit to Mark Harper.

I zoomed into the picture and it looks like there doing work on the pirate Cove area of the park with the bumper cars building getting fully enclosed.

Had a ride on it back in October and it was painful on the shoulders so yh, i'm glad i may have got a final ride but it seems a bit bizarre to remove it especially after it's very popular with the GP and it had a refurbishment back in 2018! If it does however, you've got a gap to fill and taking out Test Track also may just help with a new ride potentially!

Removing that could also free up space if they were to re develop the buffalo space. Although I doubt that is the reason.

I think it’s gonna be a big year for Drayton Manor in 2021. With them owning parks all across Europe they could be thinking of moving some rides even from
Pleasure wood Hills or West Midlands Safari Park.

Somewhere on the Talbot board, somebody posted a advert placed by Alton Towers in Worlds Fair in 1992 announcing the sale of half-a-dozen rides. Obviously as we all know that was the beginning of the end for that park.
(I'm not saying that Looping Group are planning that sort of investment, but at least give them a chance to do their thing.)

Yh it closed at the end of 2019 so it's been SBNO for a while it shows that high ropes didn't really work in the uk theme parks!
