It's still a mystery why they hang onto it, it's clear they want to spend the money at Drayton. I can't imagine it makes much money.I always forget that Loopings also own PWH. It’s the odd one out in terms of investment and quality.

Drayton Manor Park

To be fair, I think Looping Group would be justified in putting more money into Drayton and WMSP to some extent.
I seem to remember it being quoted somewhere that PWH only got 180,000 guests in 2022, whereas Drayton Manor got 920,000 and WMSP got around 800,000. The other two UK parks Looping owns vastly outweigh Pleasurewood in terms of scale and profit potential.
Pleasurewood is also far more remotely located and relies pretty much entirely on holidaymaker trade going to Great Yarmouth and Lowestoft, with very little potential for a captive audience nearby. Drayton is located smack bang in the middle of the country and right in the middle of the Birmingham metropolitan area, so its potential captive audience is huge compared to Pleasurewood’s. WMSP, while less centrally located than Drayton, is still pretty well located and has quite a considerable captive audience close by.
It is a shame that Pleasurewood is so unloved compared to the other two, but I do kind of understand why Looping invests into it less, when you put it like that.

I think Pleasure Wood Hills is more of a holiday theme park as it’s only open on weekends during Term time.
Without going off topic but the Drayton manor and the Safari park annual pass include 1 free ticket to Pleasure wood hills.

By the same measure, and from what you've said earlier, so is Drayton Manor Park and Zoo.I think Pleasure Wood Hills is more of a holiday theme park as it’s only open on weekends during Term time.
As for the park closing on a Tuesday and Wednesday in September and October that’s been like that since the early 2000’s. You got to remember the park is aimed for families and most kids aged 3+ are at Nursery or school.

Drayton is only shut on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, though, whereas Pleasurewood Hills quite literally does not open at all outside of weekends and school holidays.By the same measure, and from what you've said earlier, so is Drayton Manor Park and Zoo.
Drayton at least still opens on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays, so there are some midweek days there.

Only the Zoo and Thomas Land are open on Thursdays though, so it's arguably similar.Drayton is only shut on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, though, whereas Pleasurewood Hills quite literally does not open at all outside of weekends and school holidays.

Is that the case? If it is, I certainly wouldn’t know it; I went on Thursday 5th September, and the whole park was certainly open on that day.Only the Zoo and Thomas Land are open on Thursdays though, so it's arguably similar.

They’re still fully open 4 days a week off peak so seems more akin to say Chessington’s 5 days but I fear we are already past the realm of pedantry.
PWH is technically closer to us than many of the other parks we visit but I have zero desire to go. Drayton comparatively has a far far superior offering.

Just saw this on Reddit -- any truth to it or is it a case of somebody just blatantly making something up for no reason?
I was at Drayton manor with rccgb yesterday and we did a Q&A with top head staff and they admitted that they want to continue being the uks best park for value for money and that frontier falls was apart of a new expansion that’s gonna start construction late next year and open in 2026 (they hinted at it being a gravity group woodie and that they were also removing the old dark ride for it)

Considering that the Reddit user's other recent posts include such gems of wisdom as:Just saw this on Reddit -- any truth to it or is it a case of somebody just blatantly making something up for no reason?

Is velocicoaster open in January
AndI like coaster studios
I would think it's safe to presume that they know sweet Frontier F*all.Does Busch gardens/seaworld entertainment have a ride access pass system like the Merlin parks

A theme park saying they'll build a wooden coaster when RCCGB is in town? Why that NEVER happened ever before... /s
It probably was said, Mr Bryan used to say it all the time at the event when I frequented, as did whoever Towers wheeled out at the time. More an in-joke than full out confirmation of anything.

I'm a bit sceptical about whether a Wooden Coaster on the Pirate Adventure site is realistic due to housing being close to that site and the noise. Same with the Zoo being closeby too.

I think this is probably correct, they are saying it will be wood to wind up RCCGB.A theme park saying they'll build a wooden coaster when RCCGB is in town? Why that NEVER happened ever before... /s

Something replacing pirate adventure is likely. But if it was going to a wood coaster I'd expect that more in the centre of the park where Vikings have gone.

That's if they even said this to RCCGB. It would be very useful if a trusted member, who attended the event, could confirm what was mentioned.I think this is probably correct, they are saying it will be wood to wind up RCCGB.
