Evacuation creds

Smiler off the brake-run, and PMBO off the bottom of the lift. Powder Keg is easily the best evac I've had from the mid-point lift hill. Having to walk back down the mountainside into the woods, under the ride layout, and back into the park. The views were ace.

Most recent...swinging backwards and forwards with dippy on Raptor Attack in the dark, valleying out, laughing our heads off.
Voted the cheeriest evac ever by the ride staff.
Last ever ride on t'Ultimate too.
Heady days of summers long ago.
Loads of others over the years, Wallace and Gromit and Valhalla come to mind.
Scariest, not quite making it back on the Cyclone at Southport in the crazy hot summer of '76, due to a plague of ladybirds clogging the wheels.
Not a real evac, we were pushed back into the station.

The only interesting one I’ve had that wasn’t a brakerun was River Quest at Phantasialand.

We broke down just before our boat was loaded into one of the lifts. Sat for a few minutes, then someone appeared with sheet of chipboard to lay over the transport rollers so we could get out of the boat. Where it got even more interesting though was trying to get back out of the tunnel (this was after the refurb which added the stone tunnel over part of the lower section). They’d built the tunnel over the top of the evac pathway. This left only a fairly slim lip to walk on. It was a back to the wall and strafe job to get back out, or face a swim in the basin. Not really the most practical evac route. 😂

Would still love to get one from the main layout, where the block fins put up to stop and boats, then train all the water out and have you walk through the channel!

And one that the HSE certainly would not allow in the UK 😂
I'd love to walk rapids trough as well, would be really strange but cool.

At Phantasialand in 2017, me and @JAMMYD778 had a River Quest evac too, but that was only on the lift back into the station. Then the day after, slightly more interesting, we got an evac from Winjas on the high level MCBR about half way through the layout. The coolest part was that we had to go down a backstage staircase, where a fire exit was open and you could see Wuze Ball! Tried to get a photo but you know what PL are like.

In 2020, a group of us got an evac off Objectif Mars at Futuroscope. Again, was only on the final turn back into the station but given how unreliable the ride was that day, I’m glad we managed to get on it at all.

My only one is Dragon’s Fury at Chessington. We stopped on the brakes just outside the station and had to climb down some portable steps and climb under the track, then walk up the steps to the station and out the exit path. That was fun! And you’re darn right the nerd inside me made me make a point of grabbing the track as we climbed under it 🤣

Mine was Sheikra at BG on the MCBR. Took an absolute age for them to construct the evac platform and then get everyone off one by one. Spent about 2 hours in the baking heat. But got free fast track for the rest of the day for everyone in my party and meal vouchers so can’t complain

Only one to my recollection. Which was Duel many years ago, we stopped in the spider section, after a few minutes the house lights came on and staff appeared. Released the lap bar and was escorted out. We were taken straight into the evacuation corridor that serves that part of the ride, out the back of the ride then round through the gates back into gloomy wood. Did not get to see much unfortunately due to being taken almost straight into the evacuation corridor within Duel.

Evacced off the Gold Mine (now Wallace and Gromit). Ironically it was during a lights on ride during an enthusiast event so everyone was made up.

Evacced off Thirteen after the backwards section, gutted really. One train later and it would've been the 2nd lift hill.

Had a stoppage on Spinball but instead of evaccing the train a staff member got in the empty seat and they released the train to run back to the station.

Tower of Terror at Hollywood Studios, at the top section as the cars move forward from one lift shaft to the other.

Ironically they put you in a regular lift to take you back down, cue lots of nervous jokes about plummeting down.

We were led straight back round for another go in the remaining functioning part of the ride.

Galactica - Behind the station, got the craft manually wound down and then released.

Nemesis - Evac from the start of the brake run.

Cobra - Evac from the brake run.

Nessi, Coney Beach - 3rd attempt to stop it (having failed to stop in the station and releasing the bars beforehand so we had to relock them) Evac half in the station.

I have been trapped for considerable amounts of time on broken Croc Drop, Nemesis Inferno, and Revolution, but always in the station so no exciting evec for me at the end.

I'd love an evac from Rev's substation, that would be cool.

From memory, my most exciting evacuation was from the brake run tunnel on Wicker Man on its opening weekend. We were stuck for about 30 minutes.

When the queue and pre-opening period is taken into account, our overall Wicker Man experience that day lasted a good 4 hours…
