    Had the same at Butlins.

Got stuck at the bottom of the second lift hill on Vampire (before they built the evac platform), the train stalled just before it and some burly blokes were called to push it up to the lift hill, that was three quarters of an hour wait, good job I didn't need a pee, then instead of fast track we were given another go around (since the park had closed about half hour before, for it to promptly stall in exactly the same place again, luckily they were still standing there and gave us another push without much of a delay.

Also had the same on Swarm on the brake run, again a burly engineering guy came and swore and kicked the train until it carried on, funny thing was we knew we were going to stall because it was going so slowly, but there was this know-it-all 12 year old on the other seats who swore blind it was all part of the ride, and continued arguing with people for about 15 minutes while we waited for the engineer.

These were before the new safety "protocols".

I've had 4 that I can remember off the top of my head:

Shambhala - same situation as Rob described-
Thirteen - from outdoor switch track
    Air - from final brakes
Spinball - from about 10 steps up the lift hill

I've also had a couple of near misses recently with Intamin cable lift coasters with an extended lift hill stoppage on Millennium Force and a less extended brake run stoppage in the final brakes of Intimidator 305

    X:// No Way Out
(back when it went backwards in pitch plack)

It was well into winter, and the train stopped at one of those straight sections as usual but didn't start again. All of the lights turned on and we were escorted from the platform down some spiral stairs.Remember, this was when the ride was completely dark so I got to see the entire layout!

According to the operators, the temperature dropped below 5 degrees Celsius while we were riding, and that does something to the wax wheels.

Zero :( but living for the day I get an evac from the top of oblivion!
We did have a stoppage in the tunnel (lights came on) on wickerman but it was only like 5 minutes and then it restarted and went back into the station.

It was the first time I'd ever been to the park, too. The year was 1999, and it was absolutely bucketing down with rain. We'd been around it once, and the ride op asked us if we wanted to go again due to there being no queue. We thought 'Why not?'. We were wet anyway due to the rain, so it wouldn't have made much difference! :p When we were halfway up the lift hill on this occasion, the ride just stopped. Next thing I knew was we were getting evacuated from the ride and then taken back into the park. It wasn't much, but given I was only six at the time, it was quite exciting! Oh, and to make things even more interesting, my elder brother was still recovering from badly breaking his arm a couple of months before, though the wires and stitches had been taken out by then. So he had to be a bit careful going down the steps.

    Big Thunder Mountain, Disneyland Paris
This was much more recent, happening in 2014 on the Junket trip. We were going under the lake to return to the station, but the ride just stopped. We didn't know what on earth was going on for a while, but then some Cast Members appeared to inform us of what was going on and that we were being evacuated. They ended up waiting until everyone was out of the train before taking us back to the station, which meant we got led through a few bits not normally seen by guests, which was quite nice.

Im sure if it was a day where im visiting then heading to work that they wouldn't mind me missing a day for that!
If you have any photos of how such an evac would go please post them!

Most interesting one, 30 mins ish stuck on Valhalla before an evac. Originally stopped at the point it reverses, but they were able to let the boat continue down the backwards section then we were guided out. They led us to the exit platform whilst they restarted/tested

Had quite a few AT stoppages and stuff:
-About 10 mins on Oblivion's brake run following somebody 'accidentally pressing emergency stop' (they actually told us this...)
-Short lift hill stop on Nemesis
-About 10 mins stuck in Air's station, it assumed the position and nothing happened. They had a few goes tipping us into and out of said position before eventually getting lucky
    - Stoppage after Thirteen's backwards section when it was relatively new, think they said sensor issue
    - Issue with Hex starting, some faff with the doors
-Countless stoppages on the Skyride, although I think everyone has

    Other BPB ones:
    - Evac off Alice. Literally right before coming into the station, ops just said walk out & don't stand on the track
    - Had a 'lights on' of the Gold Mine on one of its final days
    - Some issue with the spinning room bit on Impossible, sat down & seatbelts on but nothing happened, we were let out again after a couple of minutes

Many years ago, I let myself out of the Ghost Train at Coral Island, don't know if the op had even realised the car had stopped before the end. I waited a bit to see if he was coming, but after a few mins I just got up and walked the last short section myself. He seen me walk out and didn't seem bothered!

Both of the evacs I've had have been at Phantasialand, on consecutive days. The first day we were there River Quest decided to break down when we were just about to get back into the station, so were told to just get up and walk back to the station. The other was on the mid-course of Winjas Fear, at one of the highest points of the ride! At any Merlin park you'd be waiting ages for an evac in such a place, but on Winjas it took about 5 minutes for the techies to come and release us. :p

The only one off the top of my head was Valhalla, just before the double-down. We'd stopped on the windy turntable for a few minutes until the lights came on and a guy appeared telling us there was a sensor problem so they were resetting it, got through there to the second lift with the lights on, they then went back out until we got to the top of the second drop, stopped for a few minutes, the lights came back on and the same guy appeared telling us it was a gas sensor so they had to evac us. Teenage me was nerding out, but now I look back and we just walked through some dark corridors until we emerged near the coach drivers cafe!

Not really an evacuation, but I had a roll back on The Beastie. It failed to make the lift, and had to wait for techies to push us back to the station.

That's it, I believe. I've obviously won the thread.

I wondered if the operator was daydreaming and thought the trains were all empty so killed the power. It's a right pain to restart so would be quicker to evac... but since it also happened to @John, perhaps this is some training procedure they do... odd though!

Air stuck in the station was an interesting evacuation as they couldn’t lower the crafts so we had to be evacuated from the flying position. Very bizarre experience.

I'm not sure I could handle that. I really don't like being in that position.
