Fantasy Island

Just spoke to the lovely Romania guys working on snow drift.

Issue is with the sensors and not being able to run enough cars. It is attending Winter Wonderland and they’ve told me the XL part will be added there? Don’t see how though.

Oh and Time Machine and Stat Flyer attending Goose 🪿

Star Flyer broke at Goose on the last day and James was fuming as you can imagine.

I’ve been told by the guys that Time Machine and Snowdrift are attending Hyde Park this year also.

Snow drift is having its XL extension added at a later date presumably at Fantasy Island when it goes back there after Hyde. They’re still working on the cars. They’ve added a pretty cool light system on the back of the cars to show if they are locked or not so red and green.

Also been told when it goes in ice mountain the lights on the cars will turn off but when they make an appearance outside they will come back on or something along those lines? They just need programming though.
 
Do we know if Fantasy Island is building a ride at the back of Time Machine for next year they have cleared a huge big space back their with removal of the old Mcdonalds unit

Feature on BBC Breakfast regarding knock off goods on the dodgy market...
Rather a lot of them apparently...
All the usual, the park responded with the usual "We try to maintain the highest standards" etc....

Fantasy Island has launched a new logo today for a tenth anniversary of being purchased by Mellors . They have also launched other logos for the market and the holiday department . Seems to be a positive move but it's a shame that they didn't try something new or innovate more. Still nice to see them improve but worry they may be sidelined for a while whilst they focus on lightwater valley.
 
Although its not at FI, Bottons in Skegness have removed the Pirate Ship and replaced it with a yet announced one
 
Just as a FYI insider information Turbulence that Mellors bought aka Bling is at one of there yards in Nottingham and is being transferred to Hucknall either tomorrow or next week.

I’ve been told the electrics are knackered on it and it all needs completely redoing.

It’s going to be erected and finished at there Hucknall branch next to the Wild Mouse XXL.

I’m assuming they have plans for it been as they’re going to be working on it in Hucknall.

Interesting to hear. Wonder if it will still open at Fantasy Island as originally planned or it will instead go to Lightwater Valley...

Do you know what the plan is with the Wild Mouse XXL once completed?

The Ex FI Mondial Amazing Confusion is also in the Hucknall yard going by Google Maps.
