Yet they are refurbing a restaurant that will never make any money (Towers family restaurant) as when it's lunch time people are not in that part of the park.

TFR is right next to what will be the busiest childrens area on park - it will make money.

Yeah maybe I shouldn't've put it like that. Yeah it is convenient to, but not worth it.

We actually spoke to a manager today about this. He decided to act as if he didn't know Wobble World cafe was closed and he agreed that it looked bad. He then quickly tried to usher us away saying he will pass on our feedback. It was some of the worst acting I have seen, it was obvious he knew full well it was closed.

If there are no intentions of opening these shops, they need to remove them. Closed outlets are an eyesore. The one in Gloomy Wood is especially bad in this respect - it could be used for a themeing element, in an ideal world maybe even an interactive one!

Closed outlets make you feel like you're at a 'half open' attraction and not getting full value for money.

The majority of the games stands are staffed and open (I think there was one in Dark Forest not open last weekend) so this is surely a matter of priorities, rather than staffing issues. If people are hungry or thirsty they will keep walking until they find an outlet, or use a vending machine (no AP discount). But staff at the game stands are there to harangue you until you give in no matter where you are in the park.

And usually these games stands are rigged so that you can't win. Although at very well established, big theme parks they're not as rigged as cheap fairground style ones.

Anyway, you're getting ripped off, and if you do happen to win at these games, you have to lug around a massive cuddly toy around all day.

I'm surprised they don't have some games stands where the prise is a free fast track or something. Now there's an idea!

It's a real shame because these aren't dead / redundant outlets - I mean I've been trying to buy noodles on just about every visit for the last three years! Convinced it will never open again.

In my eyes all games stalls that are not themed to fit with an area should be removed.

Basically, all of those at Alton Towers except in Mutiny Bay.

Nothing looks better in the centre of Katanga Canyon for example than dozens of bright yellow Spongebob Squarepants stuffed toys....not.

On the plus side to F&B, the dreaded 'Merlin' bread/buns, renowned for being a tad stale has seemingly been replaced with something a little bit better.

Very surprised to see Wobble World Cafe shut. Surely this is one place they would want to open if they wanted to maximise profits from food sales. With the amount of families in the area, many waiting for other members of their party on rides or in Wobble World itself, it surely is a poor decision to have it closed on a weekend? People waiting around may well be tempted to pop in and buy a coffee and snack. In fact quite a few people, including ourselves attempted to enter, not realising it was shut.

It doesn't even need to open until around noon or maybe slightly later either as CCL doesn't tend to get that many people in until around then.

We had the same last week, went to go buy a drink and it was closed, we thought it must be open later as it was the morning. Went back in a bit and it was still closed. That one is strange as it backs on to wobble world, which is open! Its not like any of these outlets are out the way, they are all in prime locations, most people walk through gloomy wood, or to Ice Age in CCL or past mutiny Bay where you have all the shutters down on one side and then Ben & Jerrys closed on the other.

He could of at least come out with a plausible story like. 'unfortunately, we have a large number of food outlet trained staff off with illnesses that excludes them from working in a food environment.'

At least it sound like they are looking after food safety. even if they are just saving wages.

No manager of anything should ever pretend they didn't realise somewhere was shut. They're clearly a terrible manager if they don't even know what outlets they have open or closed?

Based on the same logic you have to wonder why they are not opening Spinball noodles up as that's even closer. TFR will get some business from CBeebies for a few seasons indeed.

It won't be possible to get from Cbeebies land to Spinball without going back through Grt Set Go and up towards the entrance. A fence is separating Spinball and Cbeebies

If the fence is separating them, how do we 'exit' CBeebies land via the way they show on the map?

Anyone got any images of this?

Black: Exit
Yellow: Entrance

Even with the fence it's closer the TFR, Just a thought if they need food capacity near the area (surprised food wasn't factored in really but there you go).
