I think that by far the most significant consequence of Saudi Arabia’s stunning win over Argentina is that not only has a national holiday been declared for Wednesday by King Salman but that the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority has announced that admission fees will be waived at major theme parks entertainment centres in Riyadh on Tuesday. No idea if they’ve got any decent coasters there mind!

Was thinking that the players would've all gotten 17 wives each, a big BMW and a barrel of oil each after that victory over Argentina. Lord knows what they'd get if they somehow get out of the group stage.I think that by far the most significant consequence of Saudi Arabia’s stunning win over Argentina is that not only has a national holiday been declared for Wednesday by King Salman but that the head of Saudi Arabia’s General Entertainment Authority has announced that admission fees will be waived at major theme parks entertainment centres in Riyadh on Tuesday. Get back under the bridge, you naughty troll.
But it’s true. Ok we demolished Iran but shouldn’t have conceded….. the lack of concentration was clear to see. Hopefully I’m wrong but I can’t see us getting much further than the last 16.

You are allowed the odd slip of concentration when you are four goals clear...
You say that but it’s about building a winning mentality. Winners don’t loose concentration

Well, that's Wales knocked out on points difference. Iran scored two goals right at the end of stoppage time! With just 1 point it's physically impossible for Wales to progress now. England is playing the US tonight, we also need to win to keep our chances alive. If it had been a draw for Wales and Iran, a win tonight would have been enough for us to progress.

Oh dear Wales, welcome to the heartbreak club from a long suffering Scotland fan. On the other hand, the 1978 Scotland team can take comfort in which despite how shambolic they were, they at the very least didn't lose to Iran.
Iran though deserved the victory hands down, though after 60 years away from a WC, this is how you return to the tournament? Then again we weren't much better at Euro 2020.

Tomorrow's FA Cup 2nd Round games look far more interesting and at least fans will be able to drink alcohol and wear rainbow clothing!

You can drink alcohol in the stadiums in Qatar ... if you're in a corporate box costing six figures. FIFA logic.Tomorrow's FA Cup 2nd Round games look far more interesting and at least fans will be able to drink alcohol and wear rainbow clothing!
