Funny things you've overheard people say in queuelines

Some kid asked a staff member outside the nemesis queue line. "Are we allowed on again?"

In Nemisis station and it is pretty much walk on. Man shouts at ride host "stop letting them skip the f***ing queue!" Pointing to fast track people coming through the exit. Ride host explains how it is people with fast tracks man yells "I'm going to report you and get you fired" and leaves the queue

Not exactly in a queue line but on the Towers app and in the 'thrill' section it quoted Charlie and the chocolate factory.

Oh, I did that one to my brother and some of my friends once, Richie - great fun. I also never told my parents about it when they went on, and I think they got a bit of a shock... :p
When Sub Terra opened at the park a few years back, me & my dad went to visit after a good few years absence (before Th13teen was opened). We went on Th13teen for the first time and I kept telling him that this ride is a "world's first". He kept asking me what made it a "world's first" but I wouldn't tell him. His reaction when it came to the drop was absolutely priceless! (I'm not really that evil, I promise!)

We also went on Sub Terra as well, and even before we got in the queue the ride ops were in full character, going all out, even moving some people to the back of the pre-show spots for laughing and talking, and picking on some young couples, splitting them up into separate lines. I didn't know much about the ride other than it was some sort of dark ride/drop tower, but didn't know much more than that personally. Shocked both of us when we was inside!

Heard a lot of stupid stuff whilst queuing for rides. I have 2 personal favourite things that I've heard whilst in the queue, and they were for The Smiler and Nemesis. Stood in the queue for The Smiler for ages and it breaks down at the top of the vertical lift hill. Someone in front of me turned to their friend when it stopped and said "that doesn't look good, the car's stuck", their friend turned round towards The Smiler, turns to their friend and said "nah that happens all the time on Oblivion, it holds you there before it lets you go into the drop. Never have I wanted to repetitively bang someone's head on a steel fence more in my life! The young lady riding Nemesis was no better, after turning to her equally stupid friend and told her that her bag would be fine to take onto the ride itself, and that she could put it on the floor of the car. I struggled so hard not to laugh at the time, but couldn't help but laugh when the person in question actually tried to put it on the floor of the car and got told off by the ride ops!

Not in a queue line but yesterday standing in the Lego shop opposite Flume when a member of Towers staff came in and asked the person on the till "is this the Lego shop?"...... ;)

I have resurrected this topic after overhearing some very petty complaints whilst in guest services today...

One gentleman and his lady friend (who I shall not stereotype, but was wearing track suit attire and baseball cap indoors) was demanding a full refund aswell as fast tracks for a future visit. Why you ask? He had travelled 'all the way' from Birminham and didn't get to ride The Smiler because it was having technical difficulties all day.

I know it's frustrating when rides are closed, but I really don't see this as grounds for shouting the odds off at some poor girl at guest relations. We travelled from London, and were happy enough to accept that a ride that had a an awful crash last year, may have some ongoing tech problems.

There was a few of the same type of people complaining about the Smiler and Thirteen being closed, speaking as if their whole world had ended and couldn't possibly go on.

I know this sort of complaint is quite common but it really did get to me today how petty people can behave towards members of staff.

Few weeks ago, heard something amusing in the queue for donuts at towers street. The man in front of us was shouting abuse at the poor staff member (did feel sorry for him, was trying so hard not to laugh), because this man had ordered 40 donuts for his family (really annoying having to wait for 40 donuts to be cooked). The man was outraged at the cost and demanded a full refund for his wait.

Also, heard interesting things waiting for DBGT yesterday. Some strange people in front of us discussing merlin conspiracy theories, man behind us seemed to be a bit of a towers geek (my dad had a great discussion with him about birdstrikes on smiler and stealth). I suppose that these things do happen when your crushed into a very confined/crowded space for nearly an hour.

Christ... how big was his family?! And you can't just be refunded for having to wait. People astound me sometimes :I
But on topics of queueline randomness... I was waiting for Nemesis Inferno at Thorpe park, I overheard someone saying that they are only letting staff onto DBGT ( We saw staff walking in and out all day) to hypnotize all the staff into wanting pay cuts after the smiler crash costing them millions...

He thought it was like legoland where they sell only mini donuts (where 40 would still be quite a lot, but it's 20 for the price of 10)

The press don't exactly help with that one. they always refer to a coaster as "The [insert actual name here] Ride"
Don't forget the photo of a completely different ride (or games stand if anyone remembers when the mirror reported that Ripsaw would close), just to further confuse people.

What annoys me most though is when people use the wrong names for rides (referring to oblivion as nemesis, or "that drop one") or when people obviously don't know much about the park (running round towers asking staff where the corkscrew is or where rattlesnake is).
