If anything has been scrapped, it's probably a repaint of the track.
Where has this notion that any proposed works have been scrapped come from?

I assume all this fireworks branding was signed off a long time ago. We’ve heard rumours that the Galactica retheme has been scrapped for next year so perhaps this very Galactica looking branding was meant to be an announcement for this.
That's what I wonder, nothing has been confirmed but certainly speculation is out there about recent Merlin budget cuts affecting a potential Galactica retheme/works.Where has this notion that any proposed works have been scrapped come from?
Whilst it’s clear that Towers have been cutting costs in the recent months, it’s a long jump to suggest they’ll be cancelling all planned works - as much as certain influencers and the like are putting two and two together and reporting it as fact.
I am pretty sure that has always been there, you can here it on this from 2019 (at 0:30)Someone in the comments says that sound has been there all season and has been getting louder and louder throughout, and is now at full volume. Interesting!
Pretty much out of the same place that the proposed works came from in the first place. The aetherWhere has this notion that any proposed works have been scrapped come from?
Schrödinger's works. They're both happening, and not happening, at the same time.
"Our new ride uses the most advanced hardware of all..... your imagination"New at Alton Towers for 2025; Galacticair! The world’s first quantum rollercoaster!
I would imagine they would prefer the opposite way round (Galactica open, then ocean) for capacity as not having one of the big 7 open for part of the year wouldn't be good although if they were doing other mechanical work at the same time (perhaps it could be new seats, to improve dispatching and reduce down time from mecs having to take a seat out) then it could make sense if that mechanical work was wanted/required and would take longer than the down season.Perhaps ocean will be the early season opening and galactica could be more of a summer focus?
Has there always been a sign in the queue line saying "New destination departing soon"?
It's a residue teaser for future VR content that was meant to materialise, but got scrapped along the way. Presumably due the poor feedback from the VR...Has there always been a sign in the queue line saying "New destination departing soon"?
You don't spend months, or years, designing the retheme of a ride, and spending untold tens, or even hundreds, of thousands of pounds to suddenly scrap it at the last moment.Fair enough, I wasn't sure as I'd never seen it. I'm not sure anything will be happening with it for next year. I think it might've been the plan but has been scrapped for budgetary reasons.
