General Queue Times Discussion 2023

I guess if the ride is on reduced capacity, which it has been since opening to my knowledge, they don't want to fill the whole queue rack as it would result in a massive queue and increased complaints. They presumably have a maximum queue time they are trying to target.

Maybe the queue is genuinely at capacity, it’s right next to the hotel entrance on Easter when huge crowds stay over on resort. Unless you are there it’s hard to tell what the reasoning may be, but I doubt they’d close a queue halfway through to just keep queues down, as the people will only flood into other lines anyway.

Things honestly don’t look too bad today; only Spinball is closed, with the shortest coaster queue being 50 minutes and the longest being 70!

On the family side of things, The Curse at Alton Manor is walk on, while Gangsta Granny is closed and the Runaway Mine Train is on 40 minutes.

Have you never been during school trip season in July when queues for every coaster is 2+ hours. Now that's how bad it can get

Yeah it's bad. Tbh it's a bank holiday, weather's decent and no silver/gold pass exclusion in place. It was always going to be rammed. (That doesn't excuse ride closures and poor operations mind.)

Weird that Galactica is apparently walk on, pretty sure that isn't right!

I posted a simple request not too long ago asking for discussion about queue times only. However yet again we’re getting into discussion about ride popularity again.

This isn’t the topic for that, and if people are incapable of sticking to that then please just skip past replying to the topic.

Does anyone know the average queue time for the Welcom-Inn bar? Seems to be one of the more reliable AT experiences so far this season.

Reports Wickerman’s fast track queue was 45 minutes at one point today…..

It's probably worth remembering that the reported queue times on the app are usually heavily distorted (either in an attempt to manage crowdflow, or just out of incompetence...)

I was on park today, and yes it was busy but not sure how true to life these queues can be. Wicker is 100 one minute, then 45 the next, same with the likes of Smiler etc.

However today the RAP and FT queues were really big on most rides. Rita’s was right out it’s entrance

According to queue-times.com the park was at 95% capacity today.

Really? It was busy today yes but it certainly wasn't that busy. 95% is scarefest level busy. Also @djtruefitt did you manage to get on many rides today?
