General Queue Times Discussion

There should not be 2 to 3 hour queues at any point between now and then end of the season on any ride - rides like WM, Rita and Smiler could easily hit 90-120 but generally not more than this. Capacity at fireworks will be more limited compared to capacity during Scarefest weekends. Rides such as Oblivion, Nemesis and Galactica generally won't go beyond 60 unless there is some sort of capacity issue.
I don't know about this one. You queued 2 hours for WM yesterday and we're not even at the peak of Scarefest yet. The last 2 Saturdays of the event tend to be the busiest days of the year, so this year that'd be 23rd and 30th. I could easily see Wm and smiler getting upto 150 like they did few years ago on WM opening year

Read "rides should not" and "generally". It may happen - the 30th especially could be capacity (20k).

Should have gone with me last week.
Front seat walk on on Nemesis.
No queue longer than 20 minutes.
Most rides walk on all day, including smiler single rider, and smiler main queue was often zero, despite a 20 minute queue sign.

Off peak waits are pretty much back to normal now.
Go in scarefest however...

I'd have loved too if I didn't have to align schedules with my whole family!

For anyone whose been to the Fireworks event - Is this generally a very busy weekend on the Saturday?

Not expecting it to be quiet by no means, I’m debating whether or not to get FT especially if it’s going to be rammo.
Park capacity is lower for fireworks as almost every guest does head to the lawns to watch at 7pm. There will be some long queues, but in general scarefest is busier than fireworks. Fireworks days may sell out (although possibly less likely as many passholders now have to pay £20) but scarefest won’t sell out as easily because the capacity is higher.

Operations very poor today. Several rides closed and much larger queues than expected for this time of year midweek.

Stood in the queue for the Smiler 1st thing and wasted 45 minutes, doesn't seem like they've recovered since.

Hoping for better this afternoon..

I agree the queues seem to be longer than usual for a weekday at this time of year, however I didn't wait longer than 10 mins for Nemesis. Got on it 4 times in a row in about half hour, not too bad. Good old Nemmy I can always rely on her for a short wait

Got in 4 shots on Nemesis as well but in the 3rd I closed the ride!

Restraint clamped down tighter about 2/3 of way through and wouldn't lift when ride ended. Turns out a metal rod at the back had snapped. 10-15 mins and a closed ride plus a handful of technicians later they got me out.

The way the staff handled it was very good I have to say and finished a day that had been frustrating at times on a positive. Escorted to Galactica and fastracked onto a front row ride then back to nemesis for another shot front row despite the ride being closed to guests.

Felt bad for those that had to leave 20 mins or so before ride closing though, not to mention the train behind ours left on the brake run.

Anyone know if Galactica is on 1 or 2 stations today? Besides from Galactica queues aren't looking bad today

You know it's busy when Hex and Duel are on 35 and 20 mins respectively!:oops:

Wouldn't be surprised if it's because of Smiler being unavailable.

Or the fact that is is scarefest and halloween.
Possible, but both of those rides only got bigger queues last year becase of social distancing/reduced capacity. It's very rare that either of them get long waits due to their massive capacities/throughputs.

Also, this can't be right :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

So anonymous user waited at the smiler entrance for 50 minutes before realising it was closed. They should behave bought a Fastrack, they would have only had to wait 5 minutes.

5 major rollercoasters, Duel, The Blade and CRR not currently open on a scarefest weekend day. This is not a good start at all!

Queue times are likely to be even worse than usual this Scarefest because:
The Smiler and CRR is still down
Seats are out of use on Duel, Mixtape, Funk'n'Fly and Galactica
Operations on Rita and Galactica are absolutely dire
There are FAR too many people using RAP that I heard saying "yeah this queue is like a free fast track", or "shall we use the main entrance if the queue isn't long (I heard the former in the Wicker Man RAP queue and the latter at Flavio's Fabulous Fandango RAP queue)
TH13TEEN can't operate in the rain

They're going to be really pushed with queues if this continues to be the case.
