Health and Safety Gone Mad?

The ones around the front of the towers are alright I guess. At least they look better than those crappy old twisted steel cords it had before that were all wrecked.

However, that chain link is just awful. I really hope they're going to be putting climbing plants around the bottom with the intention of turning it into a hedge. That's the only possible justification I can find to it :/
 
Climbing plants sounds like a pretty nice idea. Might compliment the look of the area (eventually). Although I doubt they have done that. This looks like it's a case of someone walking around the park and deciding where fences can go in any available gap.
 
Actually Ian raises a good point. I wouldn't be surprised if that was the reasoning behind a chain link fence. After all, why would they be allowed permission to place that alongside the other (far more acceptable) railings?

It seems the fence poles aren't quite long enough for these fences!

Whilst some look good... others actually offend my eyes. Its good that they have thought about making as many of them blend in, but again it looks like they are just going to be slapped in, even if it looks messy.
