Hex [2024 Refurb]: General Discussion

After the steps it is flat until the current entrance. The current queue would be hard to navigate the switch backs but that wouldn't be hard to change. The next elevation in the octagon has a ramp to one side.

Actually that does raise a good question. How do Wheelchair users leave Hex? From memory when leaving the vault you turn right and down a flight of stairs. I assume they don't backtrack them through all the pre-shows, so the only other option I see is escorting them out back of house back into the park. That must be an operational headache and require a staff member that can leave the ride for a few minutes.

Pretty sure they go out the fire exit to the left of you just before you enter the vault. It takes you back down the side of the towers past where disabled guests enter.

Yes, wheelchair users come back in to the but before the vault and leave through a door there.

From Digital Dan's latest update, This is the new external queue layout of Hex...

Nothing new really, it’s been like that since the park opened in March.

It'd be interesting to know who has designed that window vinyl and the new keyring with the stained glass. They both seem really nice and tasteful (nice job, if you're reading).
I want one of those CAAM stained glass window pins but I’m not going to towers this year. Absolutely gutted

The word 'Nice' and 'Vinyl' in the same sentence? You only hear that whilst referring to an LP or an S&M suit don't you?
I did say the design, not necessarily the fact that it is on vinyl. If I would have said the 'design of that window' someone else would have told me that 'it's vinyl, not an actual glass window', so it had to be described that way :)

I think the pin badge is actually the Curse at Alton Manor, although it has a lot of similarities to the keyring which seems to be just heritage related. Could be slightly wrong though...

There's already half a dozen things I'm hoping are still in stock when I finally get to go in October.

Not expecting anything like the amount of merch Nemesis got but it'd be nice to have three or four new things for the reopening, especially a mug.
Maybe we should set up a merch-trading kind of thread…. Or is it a bit dodgy trusting me with your money?
