How Busy?

Galactica is run with half its headsets offline with a queue time of 110 mins.

A Monday in September will be quiet however they will probably reduce operations ie smiler on 2 trains nemesis on 1 thirteen on 2 etc so a bit of a queue might build up here and there. Be aware RMT will probably be closed too

Hello there,
I have purchased tickets for Alton Towers for the 2nd June 2018 and have just realised that this day will fall on the second Saturday of May Half Term. I was just wondering as a guess or from previous years, how busy would you say the park will be? (Average peak queue times would be helpful too)

It depends on the weather but I would imagine that the park will be fairly busy. Wicker Man is likely to have a queue of 60-90 minutes plus, and other coasters could be up to an hour at different points throughout the day.

In my profile is a link to my site where you can go back and look at the queue times from that day last year (click Alton, then a ride, then at the bottom is a date selector) and you should be able to form a half decent guesstimate from that.
 
New trip being planned for the 6th September. I know it's dodgy but the boy goes to uni soon after that.

I'd be wary. The first week of September is often surprisingly busy, as a lot of people have the same idea, with the school holidays being 'over'. Weekdays at the beginning of the school holidays are often surprisingly bearable.

The weekdays of the week just before Scarefest is often very quiet indeed.
One of my favourite times to visit.
I'm not into scare attractions, and the trees in early October are at their best with Autumn colour.
...and nemesis is often walk on!

My boy will be at uni by then
 
All parks are really busy at the moment, predominantly with school trips. Historically, parks are quieter in the last half of July, as families free from school often don't turn up until later in the summer break.
