The BBC are encouraging people to snitch on their friends, neighbours, and Family.

London mayor elections were supposed to be today.

Anyone else remember the days when we used to live a a society that at least pretended to be free and democratic?

    :p
I’m up for snitching. Why should I watch by idly while other people brazenly flout the rules (which are in place for a bloomin’ good reason) around me? I’m sacrificing my freedom for a wider cause, and so should everyone else. Choices darling, choices. Snitches might get stitches, but I’m up for some rough and ready!!

London Elections? Yes. Let’s encourage everyone from the most populated (and hardest COVID-19 hit) city in the U.K. to enter a small number of selected rooms and share the same pencil!:p

Oh, it will never be "compulsory". There will always be the "choice".... to spend the rest of your life in solitary confinement in a "camp" if you "choose" not to have it.

    Not about coronavirus...at all.
    Last autumn!
    Read the bloody article.
Mandatory child vaccination may have to be imposed because of issues caused by moron anti vaxers.
    Dodgy selective quoting strikes again.

Maybe it'd be wiser to check your sources? Or maybe you're part of the problem, spreading the misinformation like a plague. Or maybe you're asleep but pretending to be woke, a fool, a sheep in wolf's clothing, a prattling knave? Such a movement would be more believable if people put more efforts into it than their bowel movement? Such a shame.

Nope. Most of us care to research and inform ourselves properly to avoid digging a hole and planting a huge “I’M STUPID” sign.

Great job on that by the way.

This is how it starts. The propaganda has already turned people against each other. Convince the sheeple that anyone who doesn't obey unquestioningly is an enemy.

Be a government informer. Betray your family and friends.
    Fabulous prizes to be won!

You see, that is it. Hence we have exposed the sheep, falsely portraying himself as enlightened but in reality is so far asleep the brain is not connected, just the influence of 'them'. We shall rejoice as we see him suffer in public, encased in lies. Do you see the lies he has spun? The time has come for the truth to rise, together we shall find the truth.

But what is truth? Not easy to define. We both have truths. Are yours the same as mine?

How long will it take for the minute of clapping to fully mutate into the two minutes hate? Can we start a pool? It's kind of creepy, I think. Not the sentiment or the people doing it, just the ritual of it. I work for the NHS so don't take part but when do you stop doing that? I suppose everyone will stop at their own time whenever they can't be arsed anymore but it's an interesting thing to witness, especially the people who kept going for an extra 30 seconds.

I think we can all agree that that behaviour is just childish, and completely fails to take into account any reasons why some people aren't joining in. I'm not joining in because I'm usually working at 8pm on a Thursday (I'm not this week and next, but that isn't the point here). I frankly can't be bothered joining in with it. Don't get me wrong, I honestly believe it started off with the best of intentions, but it's transformed itself into ritualistic behaviour, which I find rather concerning. Closest comparison I can think of is people who shame others for not wearing a poppy in the run-up to Remembrance Day. People in the wars fought and died for our freedom. Surely, as part of that, we should have the freedom to commemorate those sacrifices in whichever appropriate way we see fit?
