In person, the front of monster looks phenomenal unlike the queue and part of the warehouse, although it's certainly better than photos may suggest.
I thought it looked far, far worse than Id seen in any photo. The big black box is not just 'visible' when it probably shouldnt be, but the whole development is horrendously ugly.
It's shoved into what was already the most congested area in the park, the queue is an abomination and the themed front (which you barely see face-on due to the position of the building) is cheap and bland anyway.
It has obliterated the area and seems totally out of place. It even sticks right out from the view to Windsor castle from The Beginning. It's a joke and shows how little they care. There are many better places in the park it could have gone.
It also feels like you don't go anywhere during the attraction. You see 3 sides of a box while queueing, you go in one side, walk in a straight line and then come out the other side. Kids won't notice this as much, but like I mentioned a few posts up, this level of laziness just takes away so much of the fun and mystery of a dark ride.
The madhouse is a great idea and much better than drop towers would have been, but otherwise the attraction has no real surprises for kids. There's nothing spooky about it, the party theme is its only redeeming factor because it doesn't take itself too seriously and just gives kids some funky music and disco lights. I like that about it and clearly the kids do, but the feeling before and after the madhouse is just flat and dull.
Should have been somewhere else in the park, done much better and with some love and imagination put into it. We will never see anything like the Dragon at the park again, just big boxes with TVs and a one-trick ride in.
