Legoland Windsor

Really think this will be a good investment.

After seeing some horror stories, we visited in October and had a really good day.

The good thing is this was an area ripe for expansion and actually needed it, unlike a lot of recent developments that’ve been really badly squeezed in and the park feels overcrowded as a result. Adventureland was a bit of a non theme after Jungle Coaster left and had dead space

The cynic in me thinks this will just be a retheme of the Viking area (which is just the Rapids nowadays no?)

If it's something more substantial then that'll be a positive.

It's a retheme of the area where Squid Surfer is, with a new Flying Theatre attraction in the area too.

UK Theme park brings new technology to the country and all you lot can do is moan. Get a grip,

Yeah it's the same development that the planning application for Lego Movie world was for, just redesigned with a new theme.

What new technology is this and how will the country benefit? Not moaning just wondering what you mean by that

So it's a hastily changed plan because other areas weren't successful?

Merlin.

It’s because the Lego Movie 2 was pretty much a flop at the Box Office so they decided to change theme.

I’m pleased they did, this looks to have more potential as a well rounded themed area. Plus I believe this is at the edge of the park so they should be able to hide the show building, unlike the attempts with Haunted House and Ninjago.

This should be good! I’m hoping to get to the park next year on my MAP after we couldn’t go in October, so this should be an added bonus!

I’ve got to admit I’m also a fan of the theme!

So with LegoLand going into tier 3 this weekend, it of course means all their indoor rides must close (LEGO Studios 4D, Laser Raiders, Scarab Bouncers, LEGO NINJAGO™ The Ride, LEGO City Deep Sea Adventure, Haunted House Monster Party and LEGO Reef), however out of all the merlin parks they probably still have the most rides open.

The outdoor entertainment continues as normal, and of course the hotels will also be shut.

I don't know, once you take the indoor attractions away from Legoland it doesn't leave much.

All the water rides (including Fairy Tale Brook for some reason) are already shut.

Would have thought The Dragon will have to close as well as it has a significant indoor section?

At least there's the models to look at, but I'd argue Chessington with its zoo is now a more attractive proposition for families overall.

@djtruefitt will The Dragon Rollercoaster have to temporarily close because of the dark ride section that is inside the castle??
