Liseberg: General Discussion

Sorry to briefly hijack this thread with trip planning questions…

But we are planning to go to Liseberg this Spring, and the only dates that work for us are over Easter weekend (April 18 - 20). Can anyone offer any insight into how busy it may be? I tend to avoid visiting parks on public holidays, but not sure how big a deal Easter is in Sweden!

We will only spend one day on park - do you think the Saturday is a safer bet than Easter Sunday itself?
I'll also be in Liseberg at the same time (April 17 - 20) for the first time and have been worried about the potential busyness for the Easter weekend. But what is reassuring me that it's not going to be too busy (hopefully) is that the hotels seem so much more reasonably priced for that weekend, almost 'cheap' compared to UK parks for the same weekend. I've just booked to stay in the Grand Curiousa Hotel for literally half the price of the Alton Towers Hotel for the same dates.
It does seem like lots of other attractions in the city, like the museums, are closed on Good Friday, so that could mean that everyone leaves the city for the weekend and the park will be quiet, or that there's no other option for things to do and everyone will be at Liseberg. :grimacing:
