Golden days are gone my friend…..So still about half capacity compared to the golden days then!
You should be grateful that they bother opening the gates to let us in now….

"Well at least we can see out the windows now (to view gravel, mud, gas storage containers, and reversing National Express coaches). Thank you Towers, it's better than nothing! Please sir, can I have some more....."

Some Merlin executive: "On second thought, maybe having a long term plan for the Monorail isn't a bad idea after all."In the Merlin head office they just crossed out this option

This, again, demonstrates a shocking acceptance of poor standards.
The filth in the monorails has been like that for a protracted period. Either management are negligent enough not to be aware of what state the primary mode of transport in their park is in or just accept the grime - neither of which is acceptable. There’s no massive capital expense involved in cleaning the trains regularly, all you need is a sponge and some soapy water, and yet it’s still just left to fester.
Seriously, why can’t they just clean the thing?

This tweet from Towers St 5 years ago shows how things haven't changed.
The fact a company the size and scale of Merlin allows their attractions to operate in this state remains shocking.
