Merlin expands European midway portfolio

Merlin Entertainments is expanding its midway brands in Europe with the opening of a Madame Tussauds attraction in Prague, Czech Republic.
Due to launch in late 2013 or early 2014, the attraction is the latest project to be announced as part of Merlin's strategy to open midway brands in major European cities. It follows the launch of a Madame Tussauds attraction in Vienna, Austria, last year.
Chris Scurrah, Merlin Entertainments' business development director for Europe, said: "Madame Tussauds is a very unique and special experience which we have proven is very popular in major cities with a high tourist population.
"Prague is an exciting, vibrant place, full of history and with a dynamic international visitor profile - and we believe it is a natural fit for the Madame Tussauds experience.
