Parc Astérix: General Discussion

Hey,
I'll spend a day in Parc Asterix with Filotomatix and I'm wondering how it works when inside.
- When I first enter the park do we have to go somewhere in the park to activate it? Or can we just login in the app using the purchase's email and it's good to go?
- In each ride we join the queue through the app and then go to the ride's filotomatix entrance, but how does it work then? Will we receive some code in the app to show an employee there?

You just need to be logged into the filomatix, don't need to go anywhere to activate it.

When the countdown reaches zero you'll get a barcode that the staff member at the filomatix queue entry will scan. Just be aware that they do time out so ensure if you're queuing for another ride whilst virtual queueing that you should be able to get onto that ride then make it to the next ride on time.

I am not sure whether it has been said in this thread or not, but the new family coaster that Asterix are getting next year is a Gerstlauer Spinning Coaster. The concept art is as follows:

The ride vehicles will be themed to spinning chariots. I am not a huge fan of Gerst Spinners, the ones I have ridden are not as good as their Maurer equivalents. But such a family coaster will be a welcome addition to the park.

I've only done one Gesrt spinner (Galaxy Orbiter), but it was by far the best spinner I've ever done. We both sat on the same side with empty seats opposite us, and spun like a waltzer, it was epic! 🤣

Hey everyone. Sorry to ask a more general question when you're discussing the new coaster.

I'm looking into visiting Parc Asterix in October and notice that the park is only open during the school holidays/Halloween period that month. Does anyone with experience of the park know how busy it gets and whether it's worth waiting for the new season so I can go on a school day to avoid crowds?
