Paultons Park: General Discussion

I can imagine it was certainly technical factors which may explain the hasty removal and no imminent replacement.
It was up for sale, so I doubt that there were technical factors or faults at play.

Picking up a trend from the Towers threads though, I guess this means that Paulton's Park is -1 in attractions this year.

Whilst it did vary slightly from Splash Lagoon in what it offered, I can't imagine there was immense justification in continuing to operate 2 flumes, especially when one is older and no longer represents the ever raising Paultons standard; if it needed any replacement parts or bigger works as part of its upkeep also... to me it's a no brainer.

I can't see it making a big difference, especially with Ghostly Manor as @Bowser said.

That is true, I do think that was a factor as Raging River was a generic fairground Reverchon model along with the bigger works being needed to keep it operational. The fact it closed suddenly likely meant it was bigger works/replacement parts needed.

I do think that what would've been most ideal was to keep it running until the future Super Flume is open.

Blackpool, Chessington and Drayton all operate two flumes. One larger flume and a smaller flume.

Chessington has Tiger Rock and River Rafts which is a regular flume and a mini flume.

Blackpool has Valhalla and Rugrats which is a super flume and a small regular flume. They also had a regular sized flume about 20 years ago.

Drayton Manor have Stormforce 10 and Submarine Splash which is a super flume and a even smaller mini flume.

I'm quite sure we may see a larger water ride come around as part of Vikings and it could very well be a Super Flume. 🤔

They really 3 attractions down if you include the Dragon roundabout and the go karts. Then 6 months into the season they will be another 3 attractions down.
There will be only Cyclone available for the taller than 1.05m family members.

The one positive is that we know something is definitely coming and the removed rides will be replaced or just rethemed in the cases of Cobra/Edge/Magma.

Unlike Blade.
Exactly, from recent trends - they've tended to replace rides with similar/like for like/upgraded models of previous attractions. One example is the Windmill Towers replacing the Jumping Jack and Bean rides.

This makes me think we may get a larger Super Flume, a Seastorm style attraction and a replacement Dodgems/drivable attraction in the near future whether that is for Vikings or not.

I've always been suspicious of such awards since the Beach won five years running for loos that were generally acceptable, but little more.
Pay your hundred and sixty quid per entry, (and you can enter loads of different categories), and you are guaranteed at least a silver award.
Nobody fails, everyone wins!
